VanDoorn Racing Development & Hunter Baize Racing Extend Agreement Through The 2015 Racing Season
16-year-old Kentucky Driver looking ahead to the future (Special from Hunter Baize Racing)
July 2, 2014
Bremen, Kentucky (July 2, 2014) – When it was announced late in 2013 that Hunter
Baize and VanDoorn Racing Development with three-time ARCA/CRA Super Series
Champion. Johnny VanDoorn and three-time CRA Championship Winning Crew Chief,
Butch VanDoorn were joining forces for the 2014 racing season, the racing world stood up
and took notice. On May 24th, all the efforts and hard work between VRD and HBR paid
off at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) when 16-year-old Hunter Baize scored his first
ever win.

Now Hunter's  Father, Car Owner, Robbie Baize is looking ahead to the future for his
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance title contending son. As
Hunter Baize is fighting for the 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour title, the thinking is long
term for his son's career with the eventual move into the premier tour within Champion
Racing Association (CRA), the ARCA/CRA Super Series in 2015. With that in mind,
Hunter Baize Racing and VanDoorn Racing Development have signed together for another
season which will take them to the end of the 2015 campaign.

"I am very happy with the progress we've made this season. We've had the speed needed
at every race this year at every track we've pulled in at," Stated Car Owner and Father,
Robbie Baize. "When we got the win at Columbus I knew we made the right decision to
go in this direction. We have a plan for down the road and the next step is Super Late Models. What better group of people to be associated with than a three-time champion driver and a three-time championship winning Crew Chief." He asked.

With the plans calling for Baize to move up to the ARCA/CRA Super Series in 2015 and contend for the Rookie of the Year title, the Bremen, Kentucky driver still has some unfinished business left in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Going into the next race on the schedule, the Powers Automotive 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Angola Motorsport Speedway (IN), the Blue Grass State teenager is fifth in the season long points chase just a single point out of fourth and 42 markers back of the points lead. He's got some catching up to do, but with nine races remaining, there's time.

"We're so glad we were able to extend our contract with VRD. We love working with Johnny, Butch, and the rest of the guys." The 16-year-old remarked. "Things have been going so well and we got that first win out of the way. I want more wins that's for sure. I just can't thank the VanDoorn's enough for taking me under their wing and showing me how things are done. We're a strong team and only getting better." The younger Baize offered.

"We enjoy racing with Hunter and the Baize Family and couldn't ask for a better group of people to be associated with," Stated VanDoorn Racing Development's Johnny VanDoorn. "We look forward to finishing the year out chasing the JEGS/CRA points championship and then stepping it up next year with the ARCA/CRA Super Series and run for the Rookie of the Year title." He added.

His brother, three-time championship winning CRA Crew Chief, Butch VanDoorn echoed his statements; "I'm excited about the future of VanDoorn Racing Development. Hunter Baize is a future superstar in waiting." He stated. "He's got a ton of potential and we're getting him closer and closer every time we hit the track. He's got that taste of what it's like to win one and now he's hungry for more." VanDoorn added.

For the rest of the 2014 racing season, Baize will not only chase after the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour championship, he will also make select appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. His Driver Coach and Spotter, Johnny VanDoorn will also make a few appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series later in the year, primarily in the prestigious $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series.

All of Baize's red and black #13 VanDoorn Racing Development / Ford Fusions will carry sponsorship decals and support throughout the year from Mountaineer Firewood as well as Kawasaki, Threaded Fasteners, T.J.
