JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour to Celebrate July 4th Weekend at Angola Motorsports Speedway
Racing, Food, Music and Fireworks to Make for a Great Holiday Weekend Event
July 1, 2014
Salem, Indiana (July 1, 2014) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet
Performance will head to Angola Motorsports Speedway for the July 4th Holiday Weekend
as part of the 101 Lakes Festival with the Powers Automotive 100 Presented by
JEGS.com. This will be the first ever series event at the 3/8’s mile banked track set on
78 acres in beautiful Steuben County just outside of Angola, Indiana.

Angola Motorsports Speedway hosted 16 ARCA/CRA Super Series events between the
1998 and 2011 seasons, while also hosting a handful of CRA Late Model Sportsman and
CRA Street Stock events. The traditional date for many seasons for the ARCA/CRA Super
Series events at Angola had always been around the July 4th weekend. Longtime track
owner, the late Dick Poe, decided to bring the series to his track in 1998, the second
season of the series. Poe’s longtime driver, hometown favorite Scott Hantz, won a series
leading four events at Angola, while former Midwest favorite Bobby Blount has two wins,
the first two series events contested at that track. Terry Fisher Jr. won the last ARCA/
CRA Super Series event at Angola in 2011.

Angola Motorsports Speedway was purchased by Ft. Wayne businessman Kurt Henry
after Poe’s death. The challenging 3/8’s mile track remains as one of the top short track
facilities in Indiana. Wes and Crimson Parrish oversee the entire operation of the
speedway, they have been a longtime fixture at the track in a variety of ways beginning in
the mid 90's as their vinyl graphics person.

To date there are already 26 cars entered for Saturday’s event, topped by current series
point’s leader Dan Leeck who currently holds a two point leader over Illinois veteran racer
