Hunter Baize Ready For Stretch Run With Events At Berlin Raceway & Anderson Speedway
16-year-old set to make up for lost ground in chase for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour title (Special from Hunter Baize Racing)
July 10, 2014
Bremen, Kentucky (July 10, 2014) – Five races into the 2014 racing season within the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, Hunter Baize knows he
has his work cut out for him. The 16-year-old does have one victory, which came at
Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) back on May 24th, but since then, luck hasn't been on
the good side of things for the Bremen, Kentucky driver. Case in point, in the last two
races at Salem Speedway (IN) and then at Angola Motorsport Speedway (IN).

"Bad luck seems to have found us all year. I messed up my qualifying lap, and had to
start back in 18th," Explained Baize after the Powers Automotive 100 Presented by
JEGS.com at Angola on July 5th. "On the third lap someone missed a shift in front of us
and we couldn't miss it. The guys worked so hard to get us back on the track. We were
able to make about 15 more laps, before a rear end problem ended our night." He added.

A pivotal two race stretch is coming up for Baize and his VanDoorn Racing Development
team beginning at Butch and Johnny VanDoorn's home track of Berlin Raceway (MI) on
Friday, July 18th. The Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com
kicks off the 2nd Annual Battle at Berlin 251 Weekend Presented by Primera Plastics.
Going into the Berlin race, the Blue Grass State teenager is 10th in the season long
points chase, but only 27 markers outside of the coveted top five.

In addition to Baize running the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour portion of the weekend at Berlin, his Driver Coach, Johnny VanDoorn will also be racing as well in the 251 the following day in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. The Coopersville, Michigan driver is hoping to rebound from the first race within the $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series when he was involved in a crash during the Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway (IN) back on June 14th.

After the Berlin weekend, Baize and the Hunter Baize Racing/VanDoorn Racing Development crews will have a short turnaround time to get ready for the next JEGS/CRA race on the schedule; the Edgewater Woods 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Anderson on Saturday, July 26th.

For the remainder of the 2014 racing season, Baize will not only chase after the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour championship, he will also make select appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. His Driver Coach and Spotter, Johnny VanDoorn will also make a few appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series later in the year, primarily in the prestigious $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series.

All of Baize's red and black #13 VanDoorn Racing Development / Ford Fusions will carry sponsorship decals and support throughout the year from Mountaineer Firewood as well as Kawasaki, Threaded Fasteners, T.J.
