16-Year-Old Hunter Baize Hoping For Repeat Performance Against JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Competition
First Career Feature Win gives Blue Grass State teenager confidence heading to Salem (Special from Hunter Baize Racing)
June 18, 2014
Bremen, Kentucky (June 18, 2014) – Now that he's had a little time to reflect on his first
win ever, 16-year-old Hunter Baize is out for more victories. Fresh off his first ever
checkered flag in the Agroscapes 100 Presented by SizzleMarine.com & JEGS.com on
May 24th at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH), Baize is ready to return to the race track
after a lull in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance schedule,
points wise. The Hunter Baize Racing team skipped the non-points race at the Milwaukee
Mile (WI) on June 8th and is now ready to get back at it.

The John Jones Auto Group 100 Presented by Mountaineer Firewood & JEGS.com is on
Saturday, June 21st. The historic 0.555 mile high-banked paved oval of Salem Speedway,
located north of the Indiana / Kentucky state line in Salem, Indiana is the site for the next
race on the schedule. For Baize, this event is the closest thing to a 'home game' for the
Blue Grass State teenager at two hours and 30 minutes for a one way trip to the famed
high-banks in Southern Indiana, but one that he looks forward too.

"Everyone with Hunter Baize Racing and VanDoorn Racing Development is really excited
about the John Jones Auto Group 100 presented by our sponsor, Mountaineer Firewood
this upcoming weekend at Salem Speedway." Baize excitedly stated. "This is the closest
thing to a 'home track' we have on the tour and with nearly 100 family and friends at the
track with us, we hope to have a solid finish for everyone." He added.

"It's been driving me crazy to wait this long to get back in the car following our first win." Baize laughed. "Luckily I was able to get a few practice laps at Anderson Speedway this past weekend and we feel we'll be well prepared for this weekend's race." He ended.

After three points races within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, Baize's win at Columbus allowed him to climb from 12th to sixth in the season long points chase. Not only was it his first career win, it was also his first career top five finish in the series. He's now just three points outside of the coveted top five in the season long points chase and despite a slow start in the first two races, he's just 29 points back of the points lead.

In addition to running for the 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour championship, Baize will also look to make select appearances later in the year in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. His Driver Coach and Spotter, Johnny VanDoorn will also make a few appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series later in the year, primarily in the series' prestigious $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series. Last Saturday at Anderson, VanDoorn led a race high 148 laps before getting involved in an accident on lap 188 ending his night.

For the remainder  of the 2014 racing season all of Baize's red and black #13 VanDoorn Racing Development / Ford Fusions will carry sponsorship decals and support throughout the year from Kawasaki as well as Mountaineer Firewood, Threaded Fasteners, Wood-Mizer Portable Saw Mills, B&K Wood Products, Sterling Lumber Company, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H Promotions
