Solid weekend helps Michigan Driver maintain 2nd place in JEGS/CRA points (Special from Dan Leeck Racing)
May 28, 2014
Birch Run, Michigan (May 28, 2014) – Expecting to run well and actually doing so is
easier said than done. Saturday Night at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio,
Dan Leeck piloted his number #12 Mr. Asphalt Chevrolet SS to a 5th place finish in the
Agroscapes 100 Presented by Sizzle Marine.com. Leeck would start on the outside of the
front row, after qualifying 8th and never dropped out of the top 5.

“Overall, it was a very good weekend. We really want to win one of these races soon but
you can’t complain about a top 5 run in JEGS/CRA competition,” Leeck said about the
weekend.

Dan Leeck Racing crew chief, Neil May added, “I’m so proud of Dan for staying calm
throughout the race and staying focused on the task at hand He has come a long way and
I know that winning is coming soon”.

Leeck raced side-by-side for many laps with his good friend & JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour Champion, Cody Coughlin. Last season Leeck & Coughlin battled for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Championship, even spending time tied atop the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour presented by Chevrolet overall point standings.

“If he keeps doing what he is doing, he is going to win this championship,” stated the ARCA Racing Series star, Coughlin.

Next up for Dan & his Dan Leeck Racing team is a trip to the tricky, high-banked Salem Speedway (0.555) in Salem, Indiana, for the running of the John Jones Auto Group 100 Presented by JEGS.com on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Leeck scored a top 5 finish last season at Salem Speedway.
