(Special from Grasshopper Racing)
May 13, 2014
Rolla, Missouri (May 13, 2014) – Grasshopper Racing is excited to announce Mike Slone will be driving one of
their cars with his #77. Slone is one of the lists of top JEGS/CRA Pro Late Model driver competing for the win at
2nd Annual Mercy Masters of The Pro’s 144. The toughest part of any list of drivers isn’t necessarily choosing who
should be among the top and Mike Slone has proven with victories when he raced at Lebanon I-44 Speedway his
ability to be at the top. Grasshopper Racing owner Roy Sumter and Mike Slone has been working together to
make this happen and looking forward to see how the new car does. Slone’s other skilled knowledge shows when
he crew chief’s and spots for SRPMotorsports Development Driver Austin Fullerton’s #20 last year and again this
season at Lebanon I-44 Speedway.

The car is a 2011 Hamke Ford Fusion, Mike and appreciative help from Kevin Crider of Crider Motorsports has
been working hard to get it ready for this weekend race.

Mike Slone started racing in 1999 on the dirt tracks in Missouri.  In 2008 he moved to the pavement and promptly
collected the Street Stocks Track Championship at Bolivar.  The following season he moved up to the open-
wheeled Modified and enjoyed some success there.  He is two time champion in 2010 and 2012 at Lebanon I-44
Speedway high banked 3/8 mile asphalt racing oval.

With his busy schedule every weekend to help bring Austin Fullerton home a championship for NASCAR Whelen
All-American at Lebanon I-44 Speedway he will also drive  two more events for Grasshopper Racing. Weekend off
from Lebanon I-44 will race on July 12th at Fairgrounds Speedway in The Big Machine Challenge Nashville,
Tennessee also September 27-28th at Lucas Oil Raceway in JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mike Slone’s #77 will carry sponsorship support and decals from M&S Const. Pipeline, Utili-Link, S&S Motors,
Cookin' From Scratch.
