Chris Koslek Motorsports Is Ready For A Diverse 2014 Racing Season
ARCA/CRA, JEGS/CRA and Berlin Raceway highlight the season schedule (Special from Chris Koslek Motorsports)
March 25, 2014
Grand Rapids, Michigan (March 25, 2014) – Chris Koslek and his Chris Koslek
Motorsports Team were hoping that some extra seat time down in Florida during
Speedweeks would provide the team with a leg up on the competition once the regular
season started closer to their Grand Rapids, Michigan race shops. Unfortunately for
Koslek, a broken rear end on the first night followed by a hard crash on the third night at
New Smyrna Speedway (FL) ended the trip to the Sunshine State earlier than planned.

Never one to be deterred, Koslek and crew have been hard at work in the race shop since
getting home from Florida as they prepare for the upcoming 2014 racing season closer to
home. With two template Late Models at his disposal, the 27-year-old plans on turning
laps quite a bit for the remainder of the 2014 racing season.

The year will start at his home track of Berlin Raceway (MI) on Saturday, April 26th as
he'll race in the Super Stocks division during the tracks 3rd annual Icebreaker which
features a $5.00 General Admission charge. Then the following weekend on May 3-4th is
the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance season opener; the
Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Springport Motor Speedway (MI), a short
90-minute drive east and south for the team.

The plans for the rest of the season includes select appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS as well as the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, Berlin Raceway's Boyne Machine Company Super Late Model Series and Berlin's weekly Super Stocks division when the schedule allows.

"We have two new Hamke Chassis with McGunegill Engine Performance motors for the season and we're pretty excited about it. We will also rent out our other car if anyone is interested." Koslek stated as he and the crew continues preparations for what is expected to be a busy 2014 season. "We're looking for a few sponsors to help us along the way. We have the best equipment we've ever had, but the cost of traveling like we want too adds up and Florida was an expensive trip."He laughed.

During the 2013 season competing primarily as his home track of Berlin Raceway (MI) he finished an impressive sixth place in the final Template Super Late Models Series Points Standings. He also made four JEGS/CRA starts and scored two top five finishes, both of those were career high second place finishes at the tours' lone appearance at his home track on June 14th as well as at Springport Motor Speedway (MI) on September 20th. Overall he scored three top 10s and all four starts resulted in at least a top 13 finish.

For the 2014 racing season, Koslek’s pair of blue and silver #23 Chevrolets will carry some sponsorship decals and support from; West Michigan Tool & Industrial Supply as well as Pit Quick Pit Tools & Accessories, Kozakami Racing Shocks, Five Star Racecar Bodies, Hamke Racecars, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H.
