2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Rookie Contender looking to gain valuable experience in Georgia (Special from J.J. Haley Racing)
January 21, 2014
Winamac, Indiana (January 21, 2014) – The 2014 racing season is a couple of months
away in the Midwestern United States as several drivers and teams will wait for the new
year to open up in April. For J.J. Haley, the new season begins this weekend as the 14-
year-old will head south to Watermelon Capital Speedway, located 90 minutes north of the
Florida / Georgia state line in Cordele, Georgia to compete in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars
Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance portion of Zaxby's SpeedFest 2014.

Haley will be making only his third ever appearance behind the wheel of a Pro Late Model
as the Hoosier State teenager competed in one JEGS/CRA event in 2013, where he
finished 18th at the legendary high-banks of Winchester Speedway (IN). He then
impressively locked himself into the 36-car starting field that made up the Allen Turner
Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway (FL) in December and would finish 21st against
some of the best drivers in the country.

"Going to the Snowflake was such a great experience for only my second start in a Pro
Late Model race. I feel confident that the #99 Braun Ability car will be very competitive at
SpeedFest." The Winamac, Indiana driver remarked. "With a new team and so many new
experiences to come getting comfortable with the surroundings will be my main focus. The
momentum that SpeedFest will provide for us will take us into a great 2014 season. We
are sure to finish up front and I can’t thank my sponsors, team and fans enough." He added.

For the 2014 racing season, Haley will compete for the prestigious Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. He also looks to make select appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and will also fill the schedule with select appearances in the Vore's Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Series Powered by JEGS as well as in weekly competition at Toledo Speedway (OH) competing in the tracks ARCA Sportsman division.

"I can’t thank everyone enough for the chance to focus this season on the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour.  I am looking forward to as much seat time as possible in the #99 and hoping for not only Rookie of the year, but also the Championship." Haley added. "It will be an exciting year to learn and progress as fast as possible. We plan on a busy season that's for sure, but nothing excites me more than the challenge of new tracks and new competitors. It is going to be a great year for J.J. Haley Racing." He ended.

During the 2013 season, Haley competed primarily in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series where, despite missing some events, still came away with a seventh place showing in the final points standings and was the 2013 Rookie of the Year Runner-Up with four top five finishes including a season high finish of a third at Anderson Speedway (IN) back on September 14th. Haley also won his first career Fast Qualifier Award that night as well. He also racked up six top 10 finishes in just seven starts.

Also in 2013, he scored a Preliminary Heat Race Win in CRA Late Model Sportsman Series competition at Baer Field Speedway (IN) back on July 27th. He also scored Heat Race Wins at Angola Motorsport Speedway (IN) as well as in his ARCA Sportsman entry at Toledo Speedway (OH). Going back to his Micro Sprint, he scored a victory at Miami County Speedway (IN) as well.

Haley began his racing career at Nine Years Old in Quarter Midgets at Kokomo Quarter Midget Club (IN) during the late summer months of 2008. In 2009 and 2010 he scored the KQMC, Indiana State Series and Light 160 State Championships while in 2011, wins in his Quarter Midget came at KQMC, Regional and National Races along-with a National Light AA win. He also started racing restricted Micro Sprints and scored his first win in that division Miami County Speedway.

The 2012 racing season would see Haley record two Wins in the Restricted Micro Sprints with one coming at Miami County and the second triumph occurring at US-24 Speedway (IN). He also began his full-size stock car career by racing a Street Stock at Plymouth Speedway (IN) (Prior to that facility converting over to a Dirt Track) as he broke the track record and then broke that same record two weeks later, which will forever stand. He also finished second at the Tulsa Shootout in the Non-Winged Stock Class and was the 2012 Fan Choice Award, Driver of the Year at Plymouth and ranked #1 in the restrictor class in Indiana by Indiana Micro Sprints.

For the 2014 racing season, Haley's black #99 J.J. Haley Racing Chevrolet Impala will sport sponsorship decals and support from Braun Ability as well as Braun Auto Group, Two Guys Mechanical, JMR Trucking, T.J. Racing Lubricants and M.P.H. Promotions.
