51 Continues as Media Partner of Popular Early-Season CRA-Sanctioned Event (Special from Speed51.com)
January 3, 2014
Concord, North Carolina (January 3, 2014) – Since its inception in 2005, SpeedFest has
traditionally been the early-season highlight on the asphalt Late Model racing schedule.
From its beginnings at Florida's USA International Speedway, to its second home at
Lanier National Speedway in Georgia and to its current home at Watermelon Capital
Speedway in Cordele, Georgia, SpeedFest, has marked the first opportunity for many
Super Late Model teams to start the new season in January while much of the country is
still in a deep freeze.

Speed51.com Powered by JEGS, the nation's leading asphalt short track racing news
website, has been a part of the SpeedFest event from the beginning.  When this year's
SpeedFest event goes green January 25 and 26, Speed51.com will be there once again
as the Official Live Coverage Provider of SpeedFest 2014.  51's signature brand of
Trackside Now updates, unique photography and more will bring fans both at the track
and at home closer to the action of the Champion Racing Association (CRA) Powered by
JEGS and its ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour during SpeedFest
weekend.

“We are very excited to have Speed51.com as the Official Live Coverage Provider of SpeedFest 2014,” said Glenn Luckett,
CRA Series Director.  “Speed 51 is by far the best with its coverage of short track racing both on the event side and for the
racers competing in those events.

“We greatly appreciate the partnership we have developed with Speed 51.  They have helped us promote not only
SpeedFest but all the big CRA events we have each season.  We look forward to working with them again at SpeedFest
and throughout the 2014 season.”

SpeedFest annually attracts talented drivers in the Late Model ranks and more from all points on the map.  NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series winner and local fan favorite David Ragan has entered this year's SpeedFest event.  Also throwing their
hat into contention at SpeedFest 2014 are NASCAR multi-generational drivers Harrison Burton and John Hunter Nemechek.
Late Model standouts Donnie Wilson of Oklahoma, Alabama's Hunter Robbins and Georgia's Anderson Bowen are among the
first entrants to the event and more entries will be announced in the coming days.

"SpeedFest is annually one of the most anticipated short track events we cover on Speed51.com because it officiallly kicks off
the season for so many drivers from around the country," said Elgin Traylor, Speed51.com Operations Manager.  "CRA's ability to draw cars from the Midwest, the Southeast and beyond has kept SpeedFest one of the biggest events not just of the early season, but the entire year.  51 is proud to have a longstanding partnership with CRA and the SpeedFest event and we look forward to continuing to raise the exposure level for all the competitors at Watermelon Capital Speedway later this month."

Fans have eagerly been anticipating this event since packing the speedway’s grandstands in the event’s debut at WCS in 2012 and 2013.  The fans at the track, in the pits and those unable to make it to Cordele, Georgia for SpeedFest 2014 can obtain the same in-depth news and information via Speed51.com's Trackside Now live coverage, featuring behind-the-scenes interviews, lap time and scoring updates, unique photography and more.
