Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman at Anderson Speedway Saturday 
Part of Big Fourth of July Weekend Events at Anderson

Salem, Indiana (July 2, 2014) – The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered
by JEGS will have their fifth event of the 2014 season this Saturday at Anderson
Speedway. Saturday will be the fourth of five series events at the fast ¼ mile facility,
battling against the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models.

The series opened their 2014 season at Anderson Speedway on March 29th, with 14 year
old Chris Hacker getting the win. Trey Craig picked up the victory in the series second
event of the season at Lucas Oil Raceway on April 6th. Danny Trent got the win on May
10th in the series third event of the season and second at Anderson Speedway. On June
13th Greg Van Alst roared to victory in the Motion Motors 100 at Anderson Speedway,
collecting the season high $2000 winner’s payoff in the series biggest event of the
season.

After four events in 2014, rookie Jack Dossey III has emerged as the series point’s leader
with Van Alst moving into second after his big win. Van Alst is 12 points behind Dossey.
Chris Hacker, the former point’s leader before the last race, has now dropped down to
third in points after a wreck ended his night early at the Motion Motors 100. Hacker is 10
points behind Van Alst. Fellow rookie J.P. Crabtree is in fourth place, he is only two
points behind Hacker.

Jason Atkinson is in fifth place, he is 11 points behind Crabtree. Billy Van Meter is in sixth place, only four points behind Atkinson. Robert Amos Jr. is in seventh, only one point behind Van Meter. Rookie Quinnton Bear is in eighth place, 11 points behind Amos and is coming off his season high second place finish in the Motion Motors 100.

Dossey is the current point’s leader with the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Van Meter is in second place, 56 points behind Dossey. Jeff Marcum is in third place, Kent Baledge is in fourth and Van Alst is in fifth place.

Pit gates open on Saturday at 3:30pm, practice will begin at 5pm with qualifying at 6:30pm. The race program will begin at 8pm and will include a 75 lap feature for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS and McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Also racing in Saturday night’s program are the Anderson Speedway NASH FM ThunderCars, the Front Wheel Drive Oval cars and the Super Karts.
