ARCA/CRA Super Series Debut Part II For 16-Year-Old Hunter Baize
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour title contender set to take on ARCA/CRA stars in Ohio (Special from Hunter Baize Racing)
July 30, 2014
Bremen, Kentucky (July 30, 2014) – As the 2014 racing season continues for 16-year-old
Hunter Baize in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, Baize
knows that there is a bigger picture laid out before him with VanDoorn Racing
Development. While he competes for the JEGS/CRA championship, future plans have the
Bremen, Kentucky driver move up into the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS
and compete for the Rookie of the Year title in 2015. While 2014 is still in progress, Baize
is looking at making select appearances in CRA's premier tour.

After his intended debut on June 28th at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) was rained out,
the race was rescheduled for Saturday, August 2nd and is now the JEGS Bud St. Amant
Memorial 174 Presented by CoughlinCars.com. Baize will again attempt his ARCA/CRA
Super Series debut at the same track where he won his first career Late Model Feature in
a JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race back on May 24th.

"I look forward to making my super series debut this weekend at Columbus as well as
starting my longest race so far in my career in the 174 lapper." The excited Blue Grass
State teenager remarked. "We've been very strong at Columbus, winning there with the
JEGS Tour, and being P2 in practice in the super series race in June before rain
postponed the event." He added.

In his last JEGS/CRA race, the Edgewater Woods 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Anderson Speedway (IN) back on July 26th, Baize topped the charts in practice, but could only muster up a 12th place qualifying effort. With his work cut out for him, plus a spin on the opening lap, Baize got up to ninth before a 90 minute rain delay ensued. Once racing resumed he charged his way into the top five before an accident sent him pit side. He came back out and finished 11th with a damaged racecar.

"We had a fast car at Anderson last weekend. Not the finish the car or the guys at VanDoorn Racing Development deserved, but at least we were able to kick some of the bad luck plaguing us this year, and finish all 100 laps." He continued. "We know we're a good team and can contend for wins, we've shown that. Now we have to get some consistency going and keep that up for the remainder of the season." Baize ended.

So far during the JEGS/CRA season, Baize is sitting seventh in points with one win, which came in the Agroscapes 100 Presented by SizzleMarine.com at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) back on May 24th. His win also accounts for his lone top five and top 10 finish. He also has one Fast Qualifier Award, which came at Berlin Raceway (MI) on July 18th. He's just 35 points outside of the top five in the JEGS/CRA title chase.

All of Baize's red and black #13 VanDoorn Racing Development / Ford Fusions will carry sponsorship decals and support throughout the year from Mountaineer Firewood as well as Kawasaki, Steel City Bolt, Threaded Fasteners, T.J. Racing Lubricants, Wood-Mizer Portable Saw Mills, B&K Wood Products, Sterling Lumber Company, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H. Promotions
