Hastings, Michigan (July 17, 2014) – The long awaited 2014 racing season debut is finally
here for 20-year-old Lauren Bush. The Hastings, Michigan driver took a temporary hiatus
from short track racing due to the birth of her first child, Renton Nicholas Bush/Sokoloski
who was born on April 29th. Now after not having climbed behind the wheel of a racecar
since the end of the 2013 racing season, Bush will return in a big way, by competing in
the 2nd Annual Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics race weekend at her
home track of Berlin Raceway (MI).

This Friday & Saturday, July 18-19th, Bush will start the weekend going up against the
cars and stars of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance on
Friday, July 18th. The Berlin 100 Presented by Boyne Machine Company & JEGS.com
highlights the Friday night card. Then the next night, Saturday, July 19th, the premier
Super Late Model tour in the country, the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will
race in the Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics.

In addition, she will be competing against her Father, three-time Berlin Track Champion,
Joe Bush. Prior to the start of the 2014 racing season it was announced that Lauren Bush
would join the RacingAwareness.com Supporting Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Team
for the 2014 racing season. She would also be a teammate to Berlin Raceway veteran, Dave Lake and compete for the track's Template Super Late Model Series Championship. However due to her absence, her Father has filled in for her and is having a solid season as he's currently fifth in the track points standings.

"I thought I would be in the car sooner, but the program has changed a bit and Dad is doing so well. So he's going to finish out the season in the racing awareness 101 car." The younger Bush explained. With her Dad in her car through Racing Awareness, Lauren will climb behind the wheel of her own car. "Through the support of my Dad, Port City Racecars, Enterprise Iron & Metal, and Liberty Muffler & Brake, I have been able to put together a program to get out on the race track using my last year's neon orange 101 car." She added.

"I get to race against my Dad on Saturday night in the 251 and I can't wait," She continued. "I've been very anxious about getting back into the driver's seat and now I am very excited it is finally happening. I am even more excited about having the opportunity to race side by side with my hero. My Dad." She ended.

Her Father is a former three-time Track Champion at Berlin (1992, 1993 & 2004) in the tracks Outlaw Super Late Model division and is sitting a solid fifth place in the tracks points chase. The 47-year-old has one top five finish, an impressive third place showing in the last race at Berlin for the tracks Template Super Late Model Series on June 28th. He has four top 10 showings in five races he's run so far.

"This is definitely one of the biggest races I've gotten ready for in a long time. Plus with Lauren coming back, it's make it pretty special." The veteran driver offered as he and his Racing Awareness Team get their fleet of cars ready in addition to Lauren's ride. "I'm really looking forward to racing against her as well as all of the big stars who are coming in for this race. It's going to be a lot of fun." He ended.

In addition to the Father / Daughter combo, Dave Lake will also be racing in the 251 on Saturday, July 19th while 16-year-old Ben Welch, who runs the Racing Awareness open-wheeled Modified, will compete on Friday, July 18th when the Top Speed Fabrication ICAR Modified Tour comes to West Michigan and competes as part of the prestigious race weekend at Berlin.
