Pollard, Senneker Jr., Neal, Top Latest Entries for the Battle at Berlin 251

Salem, Indiana (July 11, 2014) – Georgia standout Bubba Pollard, Outlaw Late Model ace
Terry Senneker Jr. and Indiana veteran Scott Neal top the list of the latest drivers who have
entered the Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics. The 251 lap event,
sanctioned by the ARCA/CRA Super Series, will pay out over $100,000 in purse and cash
bonuses. The event will pay $10,000 to win, $8000 for second, $6500 for third, down to an
astounding $2000 to start for a 30 car starting field. Berlin Raceway will also pay a $20
lap leader bonus for all 251 laps, totaling an additional $5020 that will be paid out.

Pollard comes into Battle at Berlin 251 having a great season to date, he has more wins
than any late model driver in the country so far this year including four wins with the
Southern Super Series where he is also the point’s leader as well as four high profile Pro
Late Model wins. Pollard is looking to mark off the Battle at Berlin 251 on his big late
model event wins list after finishing third in last year’s event, improving from his seventh
place finish in 2012.

Terry Senneker Jr., a powerhouse in the regional Outlaw Late Model circuit, has filed an
entry. Senneker Jr. made his 2014 series debut in his new template car at Berlin on May
31st, where he came from his 10th place starting position to finish second to winner Brian
Campbell. Senneker Jr. was closing on Campbell at the end of the race, but just ran out
of laps.

Indiana veteran racer Scott Neal has also filed an entry. Neal, who has been a car owner and crew chief more than a driver the past several years, but returned behind the wheel at the Redbud 300 at Anderson Speedway were a transmission issue regulated him to the tail of the field, Neal fought his way back to a sixth place finish.

Several local racers have also entered including Berlin regulars Chris Koslek, Barry Hartwell, Jason Essex and Will Omsted. JEGS/CRA All-Stars rookie contender Grant Quinlan has also entered. Quinlan picked up his first ever late model and series win in June 21st on the High Banks of Salem Speedway in just his fourth ever late model race.

These drivers join some of the top late model drivers in the country along with the best of the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the Berlin Boyne Machine Company Super Late Models already entered for the Battle at Berlin 251including Daniel Hemric, Johnny VanDoorn, Brian Campbell, Ross Kenseth, Anderson Bowen, Travis Braden, Chad Finley, Phil Bozell, Brandon Hermiller, Ross Meeuwsen, Joe Bush, Terry Van Haitsma and Dave Lake.

The Battle at Berlin 251 will be 251 laps counting cautions. The event will be a 10 tire event with live pit stops. Teams can only change a max of two tires per yellow. The qualifying order for the Battle at Berlin 251 will be the reverse order that entries are received for the event, so the sooner teams get their entries in, the later they will qualify.

The Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics Weekend will begin with an open practice on Thursday, July 17th, pits will open at 11am with practice going from 2 to 6pm. On Friday, July 18th, pits will open at 11:30, there will be three open practice sessions for the Battle at Berlin 251 cars only starting at 1:30pm. Practice for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will begin at 2pm, with qualifying at 5:30pm. Friday night’s race program will begin at 6:30 pm and will include the Berlin 100 Presented by JEGS.com and Boyne Machine Company for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. The Berlin Budweiser Outlaw Late Models and the Top Speed Modifieds will also race in Friday night’s program and there will be a 15 minute practice session for the Battle at Berlin 251 cars.

Pits open on Saturday, July 19th at 12noon, there will be a one hour practice for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Battle at Berlin 251 cars at 3pm, with qualifying for the Battle at Berlin 251 beginning at 5:10pm. There will be an on track autograph session with all the drivers starting at 5:50pm, the race program will begin at 6:30 pm and will include the Battle at Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics plus racing action from the Berlin Sportsman Division.
