Berlin & Lucas Oil Raceway's Up Next For 2013 Rookie Of The Year, Ali Kern
Stretch run for ARCA/CRA Super Series begins in West Michigan (Special from Ali Kern Motorsports)
July 10, 2014
Fremont, Ohio (July 10, 2014) – As the 2014 racing season within the ARCA/CRA Super
Series Powered by JEGS hits the halfway mark, Ali Kern is ready to put the first half
behind her. After a trying start to her sophomore season, the Fremont, Ohio competitor is
ready for the second half of the season to begin. A pivotal stretch of events is coming up
for the Ali Kern Motorsports / Lorz Motorsports Team and the entire crew, including the
driver herself is ready.

"We're ready to do some racing. We have to believe that all the bad stuff is behind us.
We're taking all the lemons we've been served and turning them into lemonade." Offered
the 21-year-old who was the 2013 Rookie of the Year in the ARCA/CRA Super Series.
"We proved at the Redbud 300 that we will not give up. We made the needed changes
that we believe to be the problem with the Super car and tested at Sandusky Speedway.
We ran 100 hard fast laps without an issue.  It's just really unfortunate that we were
misled and that cost us our season." She added.

"That being said, those issues are in the past and we're moving forward." Kern continued
as she and her crew look ahead to the second race of the $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown
Series; the 2nd Annual Battle At Berlin 251 Presented by Primera Plastics. The fast 7/16s
(0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of Berlin Raceway, located west of Grand Rapids in
Marne, Michigan serves as hosts. "We're excited to go back to Berlin Raceway.  They
really put on a great show and go above and beyond to take care of their fans." Kern
continued.

After Berlin and just six days later on Friday, July 25th, the ARCA/CRA teams venture to
the immaculate Lucas Oil Raceway. The immaculate 0.686 mile semi-banked paved oval
located west of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana will host the Circle City 100 Presented
by JEGS.com. "I'm forward to running at LOR again.  I feel comfortable competing at that
track after racing there last season. We were moving towards the front in the final race
there last year when the "Big One" happened and I got caught up in it." She continued.

"We were chasing the ROTY title so I had to finish the race with half of a car.  It's a big
publicity race so hopefully we'll have a great run there this year." Kern remarked. Recently,
Kern toured the Crown Battery factory in her native Fremont, Ohio and participated by
showing off her #28 Crown Battery / Ford. "It was a great photo shoot with our Sponsor,
Crown Battery. We really need to thank Hal Hawk for his continued support and
encouragement." She ended.

Going into Berlin, the Buckeye State driver is still in the top 10 in the season long ARCA/CRA Super Series points chase as she sits ninth in standings. She's only 20 markers behind eighth place and still only 28 points outside of the coveted top five in a very tight battle from fourth down to Kern's ninth spot. .

For the rest of the 2014 racing season, Kern will climb behind the wheel of a pair of black #28 Ali Kern Motorsports / Ford Fusions maintained by Lorz Motorsports. Her machines will carry sponsorship decals and support throughout the year from Crown Battery as well as Port City Racecars, Eibach Springs, K&N Filters, Prince Building Systems, Hybrid Haven, VanDoorn Racing Development and M.P.H. Promotions.
