Ready For A 'Home Game'; Travis Braden Returning To Columbus Motor Speedway
Defending ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion in search of first Win of 2014 (Special from Travis Braden Motorsports)
June 26, 2014
Wheeling, West Virginia (June 26, 2014) – After a slow start towards his defense of the
2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS Championship, Travis Braden has
scored two straight podium finishes. A third at Berlin Raceway (MI) on May 31st followed
by an impressive second place effort at Anderson Speedway (IN) in the first round of the
$100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series. The next logical step for the 20-year-old would be a
trip to victory lane and what better place than at the next event, the closest track to his
Wheeling, West Virginia home.

The JEGS 125 Presented by CoughlinCars.com is set for Saturday, June 28th at the 1/3
(0.333) mile semi-banked, circular shaped paved oval of Columbus Motor Speedway in
Columbus, Ohio. Braden has plenty of fond memories of the Buckeye State capital speed
plant as he was the 2011 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Weekly Late Model Track
Champion and Rookie of the Year.

"We've turned a lot of laps at that track, more than any other, so it should be a lot of fun. I
have never been a part of an ARCA/CRA Super Series race there before though." Braden
relayed as he and his team prepare for the 'home game'. "I'm confident we can contend for
the win, and hopefully put on a show for my great fans from the Columbus area as well as
some that are making the trip from West Virginia. My biggest worry is how tight this
racetrack can be, so I hope that we can avoid the wrecks and make it to the end without any damage to hinder our night, so we can see if we can go after that first win of the year." He added.

In addition to Braden and knowing it's not always wise to look ahead; some favorable tracks are coming up on the schedule for the Mountaineer State competitor. "We have a bunch more of my better tracks to come and that bodes well for us if we're going to contend with Ross (Kenseth) and Brian (Campbell) for this title." He continued. "Berlin is always a great track for me, LOR (Lucas Oil Raceway) and others are coming. Kil-Kare is later this season too and my favorite of all, the high banks of Winchester Speedway." Braden smiled.

Five races into his title defense, Braden is comfortably sitting in third place in the 2014 ARCA/CRA Super Series points standings, 21 points behind second place Campbell and 27 markers behind new points leader after Anderson, Kenseth. Braden is also a comfortable 33 points ahead of Rookie of the Year points leader, Paul Shafer Jr., as Braden has collected two top five finishes which also account for his two top 10 showings.
