19-Year-Old Brandon Oakley Hopes Feature Win In Weekly Late Models Translates To Solid Run In Redbud 300
2013 ARCA/CRA Super Series Rookie Runner-Up Set for return to the ARCA/CRA Super Series
(Special from Brandon Oakley Racing)
June 11, 2014
Beavercreek, Ohio (June 11, 2014) – Sometimes all you need to do to boast your
confidence when you're a traveling series competitor is to go back to where it all began;
running at your weekly home track. That's exactly what Brandon Oakley did on June 6th
and it paid off at Kil-Kare Speedway (OH) in the tracks Lee Raymond Memorial. The 19-
year-old finished sixth in the Modifieds Feature and then went to victory lane after winning
the Late Models main.

Now Oakley and his Brandon Oakley Racing Team will hope that momentum from his first
checkered flag of the 2014 racing season will carry over to the biggest race of the season
to date. The first race within the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS $100,000
JEGS Triple Crown Series is next on the schedule. The Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 is
on Friday-Saturday, June 13-14th at the fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of
Anderson Speedway in  Anderson, Indiana and Oakley, along-with Crew Chief, Gary Estes
feel they are as ready as they're going to be.

"Hopefully getting a win at Kil-Kare this past week in the Lee Raymond Memorial night
will give us some momentum going into this week at Anderson." Stated the Beavercreek,
Ohio driver. "I actually can't wait to get to Anderson. It's been a place that I have struggled
at and I think we can work hard and get us a solid run. We were pretty happy with our
results from Columbus (JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race on May 24th) getting the pole was the first goal, we just missed it in the race a little bit." He added.

Oakley's last CRA race was over the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend and a trip to Columbus Motor  Speedway in Columbus, Ohio as the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance made their yearly appearance at the 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked, circular shaped paved oval for the Agroscapes 100 Presented by SizzleMarine.com. Oakley won his first career Fast Qualifier Award in the series and would finish ninth in the main.

The revised plans for the remainder of the 2014 racing season for Oakley and his revitalized Brandon Oakley Racing Team are to make select appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series as well as in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. He also hopes to make it to several higher profile weekly shows within in his home state of Ohio. There's also the possibility of competing in select NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races later in the year as well.
