Defending ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, Travis Braden Ready For Redbud 300 After Podium Finish At Berlin
Anderson Speedway to host first $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series race (Special from Travis Braden Motorsports)
June 11, 2014
Wheeling, West Virginia (June 11, 2014) – Defending ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered
by JEGS Champion. Travis Braden finally got the finish he felt he deserved in the last
race. the Berlin 125 Presented by AutoWorldFinancial.com on May 31st at one of
Braden's favorite race tracks; the tricky 7/16s (0.437) mile semi-banked paved oval of
Berlin Raceway, located west of Grand Rapids in Marne, Michigan. He qualified third
quick and after leading for 39 laps, the Wheeling, West Virginia driver came away with a
solid third place finish.

"Finally we finished a race." Laughed the 20-year-old. "We knew we would be able to
perform well if we could just get to the finish, and it proved true at Berlin. We brought the
car that was actually the weaker of the two, the opposite of what I raced there last year
when we had so much speed. We never quite did get it as flawless as the other chassis
was last season, but very close, and I think we will be able to come back with exactly
what we need in July for the 251." Braden explained.

"We were happy to get up front and lead some more laps, but at about the midway point I
knew (Eventual Winner) Brian (Campbell) had a bit more speed and my only chance
would be to let him go by us and try to save as much of my tires as possible." Braden
continued. "In the end, we still didn't have enough to reel him back in, and Terry
(Senneker Jr.) would also be able to get by us and chase Brian down. Nonetheless, we were 'satisfied' with simply finishing the race and being up front the entire night." He remarked.

Up next for the WVU Engineering student is Round I of the $100,000 JEGS Triple Crown Series within the ARCA/CRA Super Series, the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300. The fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana serves as hosts on Friday-Saturday, June 13-14th. "Looking forward, we are hungry for wins though. This week's race at Anderson will be the biggest test of that. That place has, by far, been my worst track. I have just never found a sweet spot with any of my cars there and been able to find much speed." He continued.

"If we can come out of Anderson, first of all with a car left at all, but with a top five finish, that would be a huge boost sending us off into the second half of the season where we will be at all of my favorite tracks." The Mountaineer State driver stated. "We are going to Anderson this weekend with an entirely different setup than what I've run in the past hoping for better results. I know we have a shot to win the other two triple crown events so we have to shoot for the stars here at Anderson." He ended.

Even with the rough start in the first three events, Braden is sitting solidly in third in the ARCA/CRA Super Series points standings, nine points ahead of fourth place Brandon Watson. In addition, he is 38 markers behind second place Ross Kenseth and 20 more points behind points leader, Brian Campbell.
