Salem, Indiana (May 28, 2014) – The ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS will
head to Berlin Raceway located in Marne, Michigan for this Saturday’s Berlin 125
Presented by AutoWorldFinancial.com. Saturday’s race will be the 18th ARCA/CRA
Super Series event that the tricky 7/16 mile facility has hosted. Berlin has always been
known for its talented local drivers and very knowledgeable and passionate race fans. As
usual Saturday’s event will pit the best from the ARCA/CRA Super Series against the
best local drivers from Berlin’s Boyne Machine Super Late Model Division.

This will be a great opportunity for the ARCA/CRA Super Series teams to get some racing
at Berlin prior to the Berlin 251 on July 19th, which will be the second leg in the JEGS/
CRA $100,000 Super Late Model Triple Crown. The Berlin 125 Presented by
AutoWorldFinancial.com is the first event of the four-race Boyne Machine $10,000
Michigan Challenge, which consists of a $10,000 cash bonus if a driver can win all four of
the series events held in the Great Lakes state in 2014.

Topping the list of entries for Saturday’s event is local sensation Brian Campbell, who comes into the event as the series point’s leader after three events with one victory in the season opener at Toledo Speedway. Campbell, from nearby Wyoming, Michigan, leads his father Fred with the most ARCA/CRA Super Series victories at Berlin with five including a victory in the series last event at Berlin in August of last year. Fred Campbell is tied for second with NASCAR star Kyle Busch with three series wins at Berlin. Three time series Champions Johnny Van Doorn and Scott Hantz along with Ross Meeuwsen, Tim Curry, Tom Thomas and Terry Van Haitsma all have one victory a piece.

Ross Kenseth, son of NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion driver Matt Kenseth, is also entered driving for the Boyne Machine Race Team, with their shop in nearby Jenison, Michigan. Kenseth comes into Saturday’s event second in series points, only five behind Campbell.

Other Top CRA regulars who are also entered include 2013 series Champion Travis Braden, who got a JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour victory at Berlin last season, also Brett Robinson, Rick Turner, Ali Kern and Nick Gullatta. All the top Senneker Performance Rookie of the Year candidates are entered including current rookie point s leader Brandon Watson, along with fellow rookies Paul Shafer Jr. and Wes Griffith Jr. JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Rookie Cole Rouse is scheduled to make his ARCA/CRA Super series debut Saturday night.

Several top local drivers are entered including CRA part-time competitors Brandon Hermiller, Jay Niewiek and Chris Koslek. Also former CRA Berlin winner Terry Van Haitsma and Berlin regulars Tim DeVos, Chris Anthony, Joe Bush, Dave Lake, Andrew Nylaan, Barry Hartwell and Jeremy Munniksma.  Also Berlin Outlaw Late Model competitor Terry Senneker Jr., is entered, Senneker Jr., has been one of the top Outlaw Late Model competitors in the area for several years and picked up the win at Berlin last Saturday night.

Veteran late model competitor Chris Davidson will make the long haul from Pearland, Texas to compete in Saturday night’s event. It will be his first ARCA/CRA Super Series event in some time and his first ever visit to Berlin Raceway. Davidson has been a regular competitor in the Gulf Coast late model events at Five Flags Speedway, including several starts in the famed Snowflake and Snowball Derby events.

There is an open practice scheduled for Friday with pits opening at 2:30pm, practice will go from 4 to 8pm. Pit gates open on Saturday for “I Love the Eighties Night” at 1pm. Practice will begin at 3:30pm with qualifying for the ARCA/CRA Super Series at 5:20pm. There is an autograph session scheduled to begin at 6pm, the race program will begin at 6:30pm and will include the Berlin 125 Presented by AutoWorldFinancial.com for the ARCA/CRA Super Series along with racing action from the Berlin Raceway Sportsman, Modifieds and 4 cylinder divisions.
