38th Running of the Rattler 250 Next For Boyne Machine Racing and Ross Kenseth
One last trip South before Racing Season starts closer to Home (Special from Boyne Machine Racing)
March 7, 2014
Jenison, Michigan (March 7, 2014) – Boyne Machine Racing is ready to resume the 2014
racing season after a little down time from competing during Speedweeks in Florida during
the month of February. Driver Ross Kenseth has been locked in Southern Super Series
mode in preparation for the series opener; The 38th running of the Rattler 250 at the fast
4/10s (0.400) mile semi-banked paved oval of South Alabama Speedway, located just 45
minutes north of the Alabama / Florida state line in Opp, Alabama on Friday-Sunday,
March 14-16th.

"I'm excited for the Rattler. It's an event I've looked forward to doing each year." Stated the
20-year-old Jenison, Michigan resident. "The last two races there we've had mechanical
issues during the race, but have had good cars so hopefully if we can keep everything
together we can get a finish I feel like we are capable of. To have a big race like this so
early in the season is fun, hopefully all the hard work that (Crew Chief) Kelly Bires, (Car
Owner) Mike Blackmer and I have been putting in to this team will show when we go down
there." He added.

Kenseth's last race(s) were during the 48th annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car
Racing at the fast 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of New Smyrna Speedway (FL).
After starting out strong in the first four races of the World Series, three top fives with a
Speedweeks high finish of a third on February 15th during night #2, as well as four top 10
showings, a motor problem was discovered in the #77 Boyne Machine Company / Enterprise Iron & Metal / Ford and with only one motor in the hauler and with the team not wanting to damage the engine any further than it may have already been, Kenseth and the team made the tough decision to load up and head back to Michigan a few days early.

Despite missing the last three nights of the World Series, Kenseth still finished 17th in the final World Series points standings within the 53 total Super Late Model drivers who made at least one Speedweeks appearance. Even though Speedweeks ended earlier than planned for the driver originally from Little Chute, Wisconsin, Kenseth feels they learned plenty which will apply for the rest of the 2014 racing season.

The rest of the 2014 schedule will see Kenseth and the Boyne crew make several appearances within the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS as well as the ARCA Midwest Tour starting with the season opener for both tours on Saturday, April 12 at Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio for the first of two combination races between the two series' Border Wars I - 7-Up 150.

In addition to the ARCA/CRA Super Series and ARCA Midwest Tour, a couple of events within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance is also in the plans as Kenseth also looks to make select appearances in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East later in the year and on off weekends, will race close to the Boyne Machine Racing shop at Berlin Raceway (MI) in the tracks Boyne Machine Company Super Late Models Series for Template Super Late Models when the busy schedule allows.

For the rest of the 2014 campaign, Kenseth's fleet of #77 Boyne Machine Racing / Enterprise Iron & Metal / Ford Fusions are continually and actively seeking sponsorship to go along with Boyne Machine Company as well as Enterprise Iron & Metal to join up with Doc360, McGunegill Engine Performance, Draco Springs, Penske Racing Shocks, AP Racing Brakes, Quartermaster, Fast Signs of Appleton, Wisconsin and M.P.H. Promotions.
