Debris Knocks Chad Finley Out Of The Rattler 250
All efforts now squarely focused on Toledo Speedway and Border Wars I - 7-Up 150 (Special from Chad Finley Racing)
March 25, 2014
DeWitt, Michigan (March 25, 2014) – After a strong effort in the 2013 version of the Rattler
250, Chad Finley was hoping to improve even more on his performance from a year ago in
the first major early season race of the 2014 racing season for template Super Late
Models. Add in the fact that it was the Southern Super Series opener and the stakes got
a little higher for the Chad Finley Racing Team.

A delayed first race of the 2014 racing season for Finley was the 38th Running of the
Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway, in Opp, Alabama. The event was rained out on
race day, Sunday, March 16th and was rescheduled for Saturday, March 22nd. Finley
timed in second quick out of 28 cars and took the green flag from the outside of the front
row for the 250-lap main.

"This is the second year in a row leaving the Rattler disappointed. We had a really good
car once again and I just hate it for all my guys and our partners."The disappointed 22-
year-old remarked. "We were really able to find some speed during the race and we were
just riding along in the top four. I was really happy with the car we had put on the race
track and firmly believe we were just a chassis adjustment away from making our car
capable of winning. We will never know how it would've played out. Just a shame our luck
went that way after hitting some debris on the race track that tore the oil line apart." He
added.

Now all focus shifts towards the first major event of the season closer to home in the Midwest. The ARCA/CRA Super Series season opener on Friday-Saturday, April 11-12th as the historic 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio as Border Wars I - 7-Up 150 is a combination race pitting the ARCA/CRA Super Series head to head with the ARCA Midwest Tour.

"We are really looking forward to Toledo and for us to be able to grow as a team as we have some new guys helping us this year." The DeWitt, Michigan driver continued. "Really want to thank them for their help and we're going to go down to Toledo Speedway and put another quality car on the track and get to work. It's going to be a great race and a great way to officially start the year closer to home." He ended.
