the Exclusive Ignition Systems of the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance for the upcoming 2014 race season. This will be Crane Cams fourth year as a
marketing partner with CRA.
In an effort to maintain the highest level of competition and to keep all competing teams on a level planning field, all ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour competitors were mandated to run Crane Cams Ignition systems during all events during the 2013 season and once again for the upcoming 2014 season. Having one accepted ignition system has helped expedite the tech process before and after the race at CRA events.
“Everyone with CRA felt this was a very successful program we started with Crane last season,” commented Eddie Chew, Tech Director of CRA. “Crane Cams understands the needs of short track teams and works to create products that suit those needs. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with Crane during the 2014 season.”
The benefits offered to CRA competitors by the Crane Cams system are several. Crane Cams Ignition systems offer low amperage draw on the car with high output and no loss of output to the plug even when the battery goes down to 8v. All systems are sealed from vibrations and moisture to ensure the maximum lifespan. The adjustable and accurate rev limiter that is easy on the motor at max limit.
“We have worked with CRA for three years now and have built a great relationship with the series officials and race teams,” stated Terry Johnson, Crane Cams’ Ignition Products Manager. “Every series that CRA has is top notch, these are the type series we want to continue to work with and continue developing relationships with their competitors.”
Crane Cams will continue as a contingency award sponsor by awarding a $100 Product Certificate at each ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event during the 2014 season. They will also award each series 2014 Champion with a $1000 Product Certificate.
Crane Cams began in 1953 as Harvey J. Crane Jr. made his first camshaft in his father’s shop in Florida. The company grew and enjoyed its first success in the auto-racing world in 1961 when Pete Robinson won the NHRA Nationals in Indy. Today Crane Cams is proud to be a company that manufactures American-made products. Their priority is to make products that are designed, manufactured, machined, and assembled in America. Crane Cam personnel will be on hand at selected CRA events during the 2014 season to answer any ignition questions and to help any teams that need it.
