Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie Contender Dalton Armstrong Looks To Turn Season Around At Owosso
Open-Wheel graduate continues getting acclimated to full-size Late Models (Special from Scott Neal Racing)
September 5, 2014
Middletown, Indiana (September 5, 2014) – Open-Wheel graduate, Dalton Armstrong has
had, for all practical purposes, a very good rookie season in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance. Currently he's an impressive second in the Howie
Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title chase, only 21 points back of freshman points
leader, Grant Quinlan. In addition, the 20-year-old is also fourth overall in the JEGS/CRA
standings. A very good showing so far with four races remaining on the 2014 JEGS/CRA
Schedule.

In nine points races so far this season, he has one top five finish, an impressive fourth
place finish at Anderson Speedway (IN) back on July 26th. He also has five top 10
finishes and eight of the nine starts he has made in the series have resulted in at least a
top 15 showing. However, Armstrong and his Scott Neal Racing Team aren't satisfied with
just 'being there' every week. What they want is more top fives and hopefully, in time,
those top fives turn into wins.

The next opportunity to potentially visit victory lane comes at another track that
Armstrong will not have laid eyes on until race day; the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-
banked paved oval of Owosso Speedway (MI) on Saturday, September 6th. The Big 'O'
Classic 100 Presented by JEGS.com will be another new facility for Armstrong while Neal has been there just once, in 2012 with Tour Champion that season, Daniel Hemric, who finished fourth that year.

"We just need some luck here going into these last couple of races. We've been fast just about everywhere we've gone, but we just haven't really had the finishes we would like," Explained the New Castle, Indiana driver as he and the SNR Team make final preparations for the trip to the Great Lakes State. We had a great run at Winchester as Scott (Neal) gave me a good piece, but unfortunately we had two tires go down. We got the first one fixed but the second one blew and put us in the wall while running fourth." He stated.

For the rest of the 2014 racing season, Armstrong will be behind the wheel of the #4 Scott Neal Racing / Ford in the sporting sponsorship decals and graphics from WinField Solutions and Baker Crop Insurance as well as Motion Motors, Schoenfeld Headers, Ultra Cool Brake Fans, PGG Enterprises, QS Components and M.P.H. Promotions.
