Top Five In Final Points Is The Goal For 16-Year-Old Hunter Baize For Last Two JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Races
Lucas Oil Raceway & Winchester Speedway to close out 'Regular Season' (Special from Hunter Baize Racing)
September 26, 2014
Bremen, Kentucky (September 26, 2014) – With just two races remaining in the
regular season within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet
Performance season, 16-year-old Hunter Baize has but one goal in mind. The
Bremen, Kentucky driver continues to impress late in his sophomore season of
competition. Another solid podium finish of a third was in his latest outing; the
Michigan Cup 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Springport Motor Speedway (MI) on
September 20th.

"We had a very fast car for the Michigan Cup 100 last weekend. We were fastest in
practice, qualified third, and were able to lead some laps early." The Blue Grass
State driver, who led for 21 laps during the 100-lap main that was delayed by two
and a half hours due to Mother Nature, stated after the race. "We lost the lead on a
restart after the track had been littered with oil. With about 25 to go we were about
to make a pass for the lead when another caution came out. But it was a good run.
We were fast and we've been able to show that these last few races." He added.

There's no time to reflect for Baize and his Hunter Baize Racing / VanDoorn Racing
Development Team as they will head to the 0.686 mile semi-banked paved oval of
Lucas Oil Raceway. The Chevrolet Performance 100 Presented by Advanced Racing Suspension is a part of the McGunegill Engine Performance CRA Fall Brawl 2014 Presented by EDCO Welding at the track located west of Indianapolis in Brownsburg, Indiana.

"We're excited about heading to Lucas Oil Raceway this weekend. I have limited experience here, but with the help of Johnny, Butch, and the rest of the guys I'm confident we can adapt quickly and contend for another win." Baize continued when talking about the Circle City oval. He'll come into the race at LOR with podium finishes of third or better in three of the last four JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour races.

Baize stands fifth in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour points standings, only 18 points back of fourth place Dalton Armstrong. Baize has one win this season, which came at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) back on May 24th in the Agroscapes 100 Presented by Sizzle Marine. Overall he has four top five finishes which also account for his four top 10 showings. He does have one Fast Qualifier Award, which came at Berlin Raceway (MI) on July 18th.

After LOR, a return trip to the legendary high-banks of Winchester Speedway (IN) to kick off the 43rd Running of the Winchester 400 Weekend will end the 2014 JEGS/CRA season. The Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com starts the prestigious weekend on Friday, October 10th. The week before, on Saturday, October 4th, Baize and crew will head to another famed facility; the 0.596 mile high-banked paved oval of Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville (TN) for the final Big Machine Records Pro Late Model 100-lap main of the season. The race in the Volunteer State will also serve as a tune-up for the 30th Running of the All-American 400 Weekend at the famed speed plant on October 31-November 1st.

For the rest of the 2014 racing season, all of Baize's red and black #13 VanDoorn Racing Development / Ford Fusions will carry sponsorship decals and support from Mountaineer Firewood as well as Kawasaki, Steel City Bolt, Threaded Fasteners, T.J. Racing Lubricants, Wood-Mizer Portable Saw Mills, B&K Wood Products, Sterling Lumber Company, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H. Promotions
