Fort Smith, Arkansas (September 19, 2014) – After taking advantage of a weekend off
from JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance competition to go
run at his home track of Lebanon I-44 Speedway (MO) in Lebanon, Missouri, 17-year-old
Cole Rouse is ready for the final three JEGS/CRA events. The next JEGS/CRA race for
Rouse and the Rick Turner Racing Team will see the crew head back to Michigan and to
the 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Springport Motor Speedway (MI) on
Saturday, September 20th.
The Michigan Cup 100 Presented by JEGS.com will mark the second appearance of the
season at the south Michigan speed plant and Rouse hopes for better results this time
around. "We're ready for Springport. Back in the spring we qualified ninth quick and drew
the pole after the inversion. Hopefully we'll have a much better result this time now that
we're going somewhere we've been too before." The Fort Smith Arkansas driver stated.
In Rouse's last JEGS/CRA race, he finished 10th in the Big 'O' Classic 100 Presented by
JEGS.com on September 6th at Owosso Speedway (MI). With three races remaining in the series for 2014, Rouse is third in the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title chase while also sitting sixth overall in JEGS/CRA points.
"We had an alright car at Owosso, but drove hard to keep it at the front all night. We were running in fifth and got spun with about 10 laps to go and we made it back up to 10th." He explained. "We're competitive everywhere we've been this season. Rick Turner Racing keeps giving me great cars to drive and we're really starting to gel as a team. Hopefully these last three shows will get us into the top five overall in points." He ended,
For the remainder of the 2014 season, Rouse's #20 ColeRouseRacing.com Toyota Camry will have stickers adorning the car all year long from Rouse Custom Homes as well as McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H. Promotions.
