16-Year-Old Hunter Baize Looking To Maintain Top Five Points Finish In Final Three JEGS/CRA Races
Blue Grass State teenager looking to finish 2014 strong (Special from Hunter Baize Racing)

Bremen, Kentucky (September 19, 2014) – As 16-year-old Hunter Baize continues to
stay in the top five in the points standings within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented
by Chevrolet Performance, he knows he has three races left to garner as many points as
possible. Any chance at the 2014 series championship would result in the 16-year-old
needing to be just about perfect in the last three events and get help from the four
competitors in front of him. So the theory going into these last three races is quite
simply; win everything.

The first of those three remaining races is set for Saturday, September 20th as a return
trip to the 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Springport Motor  Speedway,
located north of Jackson and south of Lansing in Springport, Michigan will host the
Michigan Cup 100 Presented by JEGS.com. It's a track Baize has seen more than once
and hopes that his little bit of experience at the south Michigan speed plant will aid in his
efforts to return to victory lane.

"I'm very excited about heading back to Springport. We were running around the top five
the first time there back in the spring before being involved in an accident." Explained the
Bremen, Kentucky driver. "We tested there a couple weeks ago and we were pleased
with how it went. We just want to finish the season strong in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars
Tour and then go hit some other races to close out the year. Then we'll start thinking about 2015." He added.

In his last race at the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval of Owosso Speedway (MI) in Ovid, Michigan back on September 6th. The Big 'O' Classic 100 Presented by JEGS.com was at a track he had actually never raced on before. During his rookie season in 2013, rain washed away the show so he never actually got any track time. Despite the limited experience there, he qualified ninth quick and the inversion draw put him on the pole for the race.

"Owosso didn't go like we hoped. After the inversion we started on the pole, but it appears we had a tire slowly going down from the start of the race," Continued Baize. "That affected the handling of the car unfortunately. We were able to salvage an 11th place finish though which kept us fifth in the points. We really are looking forward to these last three shows. All at tracks I've been too before and like with Springport, then Lucas Oil Raceway and finally back to Winchester Speedway. We're also going to run the last two races at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville and possibly the Snowflake 100 down at Five Flags Speedway in December. Still plenty of time to finish the year on a high note." He ended.

Baize is fifth in the points standings, 32 back of fourth place Dalton Armstrong. Baize has one win this season, which came at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) back on May 24th in the Agroscapes 100 Presented by Sizzle Marine. Overall he has three top five finishes which also account for his three top 10 showings. He does have one Fast Qualifier Award, which came at Berlin Raceway (MI) on July 18th.

For the rest of the 2014 racing season, all of Baize's red and black #13 VanDoorn Racing Development / Ford Fusions will carry sponsorship decals and support from Mountaineer Firewood as well as Kawasaki, Steel City Bolt, Threaded Fasteners, T.J. Racing Lubricants, Wood-Mizer Portable Saw Mills, B&K Wood Products, Sterling Lumber Company, McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H. Promotions
