Birch Run, Michigan (August 5, 2014) – Dan Leeck is headed “home” to Auto City
Speedway in Clio, Michigan; a track Leeck has had success at including the biggest win
of his career in July 2011; The Patriot 100.

This Saturday, August 9th, the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet
Performance is headed to the tricky 7/16 mile, Auto City Speedway for the running of the
Auto City 100 Presented by JEGS.com. Saturday’s event will be the 10th race, in the
season long chase for the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour Championship. In last season’s
event, Leeck posted a 3rd place finish, after a late charge from mid-pack following a late
race pit stop for an ill handling racecar.

“Last season’s race at Auto City was the most frustrating race of my career,” Leeck said.
“We never got the car where it needed to be but this year I am confident my team will
bring a good car. I love racing at Auto City. It will be nice to have my family & friends at
the track, they are my biggest supporters and make this all possible.”

On Saturday, July 26th, Dan & his Dan Leeck Racing team took part in the running of the
Edgewater Woods 100 Presented by JEGS.com. After a strong 2nd place qualifying effort,
Leeck would start 4th after the invert. An early spin from contact from another driver, resulting in damage made the 1.5hr rain delay, just before halfway, anything but relaxing for the #12 race team. However, with the leadership of Crew Chief Neil May, they were able to get the car repaired. Restarting 17th, one lap down, he began working his way through the field once again. Eventually getting back on the lead lap and charging to a very impressive 5th place finishing position. Extending his JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour points standings lead to 17 over Josh Nelms, who finished 8th.

The pleased driver stated, “What a crazy race. It was a team effort and I can’t thank them enough.”

Crew Chief Neil May joked, “It was one of those nights you look back on and think, “That was actually kind of fun”. The team did a great job!”
