Middletown, Indiana (July 3, 2014) – Dalton Armstrong's busy 2014 racing season got a
little lighter recently as he and his Scott Neal Racing team made an important decision
regarding the rest of the year. The original intention was for the 19-year-old to make a run
at the 2014 Rookie of the Year title in both the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by
JEGS as well as the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title in the JEGS/CRA All-
Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance.
Fast forward to the beginning of July and after a hectic first half of the season, the
decision was made by Car Owner and Crew Chief, Scott Neal as well as the SNR Team
and Armstrong himself to concentrate solely on the Lettow Memorial Rookie title in the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. So far it's been a wise decision as the New Castle, Indiana
driver is sitting third in the freshman title chase and eighth overall in the points standings.
Coming off of the last JEGS/CRA race at Salem Speedway (IN) on June 21st, Armstrong
is ready to tackle another new challenge, a new track to him. The fast 3/8s (0.375) mile
semi-banked paved oval of Angola Motorsport Speedway in Fremont, Indiana. The
Northern Indiana speed plant, located just south of Indiana / Michigan state line will host
the Powers Automotive 100 Presented by JEGS.com.
"Just ready to get rid of some bad luck we have had and try and get a good finish." Armstrong stated. "We've just got to keep diggin for the rest of the year and keep moving forward." He ended.
"We had a great run going at Salem and battled there for our first win." Neal, the 2012 JEGS/CRA Championship winning Car Owner and Crew Chief stated as he and the team prepare for the trip to Angola. "Our team work is getting stronger and the cars stand strong in a field of growing technology. I'm excited to go to Angola with two great cars Dalton can choose to drive. That track has raised the bar for all tracks around the midwest, looking forward to the visit." He ended.
For the remainder of the 2014 racing season, Armstrong will be behind the wheel of the #4 Scott Neal Racing / Ford in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour sporting sponsorship decals and graphics from WinField Solutions and Baker Crop Insurance as well as Motion Motors, Schoenfeld Headers, Ultra Cool Brake Fans, PGG Enterprises, QS Components and M.P.H.
