DeWitt, Michigan (May 14, 2014) – After making his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East
debut back on April 26th at Richmond International Raceway (VA), Chad Finley has been
hard at work in the race shop. The next race on the Chad Finley Racing calendar involves
another lengthy road trip. This time though, instead of heading 10 hours east, the CFR
team will hit the road for a 10+ hour trip west into the heartland of the country.
The 2nd annual Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 Presented by JEGS.com is on Saturday,
May 17th at the immaculate 3/8s (0.375) mile progressively banked paved oval of
Lebanon I-44 Speedway, located west of St. Louis in Lebanon, Missouri. The NASCAR
Whelen All-American Series sanctioned facility will host the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance in the richest paying and longest distance event for
the series in the 2014 racing season. The winner will leave the Show-Me State with a cool
$8,000 payday.
"I-44 is a really nice facility. I like the race track a bunch. I felt we were pretty fast there
last year so I am excited to get back behind the wheel out there." The DeWitt, Michigan
driver stated. "(CFR Development Driver) Grant (Quinlan) is going with us and Brent
Downey will oversee that to make sure he has a good run. Lots of positive things going on here at CFR so I am really pumped about everything. I think we have a good shot to get back to victory lane and get us going in a good direction as well." He added.
This will be the first race of the season for Finley within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. In his last race in the series, the 22-year-old went to victory lane at Springport Motor Speedway (MI) back on September 20th, 2013. After this weekend, Quinlan will then head to Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) for the next JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour race on the schedule; the Agroscapes 100 Presented by SizzleMarine.com. In the last two JEGS/CRA races in the Buckeye State capital, Finley has gone to victory lane. This time around, he'll be on top of the pit box calling the shots for Quinlan.
As for the rest of the 2014 racing season and in addition to select appearances in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, Finley will also run in several high-profile Super Late Model races throughout the country with a primary focus on the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. He'll also run events within the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, ARCA Midwest Tour and the Southern Super Series. On some off weekends, Finley will also compete in an Outlaw Bodied Pro Late Model closer to home at Owosso Speedway (MI).
