16-Year-Old Cole Rouse Ready To Chase After Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie Title Starting At Springport
Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com kicks off JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour points season (Special from Rick Turner Racing)
April 30, 2014
Yorktown, Indiana (April 30, 2014) – Rick Turner Racing is in the midst of preparations for
the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance season opener for their
new driver, 16-year-old Cole Rouse. The Fort Smith, Arkansas freshman has joined forces
with Rick Turner Racing and will compete for the 2014 Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of
the Year title in the premier template body / crate motor series in the country.

For Rouse, all focus and preparations have been steered towards the 2014 JEGS/CRA All-
Stars Tour Season Opener since the calendar turned over to 2014. All the waiting will
finally be over on Sunday, May 4th as the 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of
Springport Motor Speedway, located north of Jackson and south of Lansing in Springport,
Michigan will host the Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com.

"I have confidence that we can win the championship and rookie of the year of 2014.
'Confidence is key' because without it we won't win." Rouse boldly stated. "I love working
with (Crew Chief) Richard (Turner). He and I work very well together. The whole team has a
ton of great experience and with Rick (Turner) as my driver coach; he has taught me a lot.
I look forward to working with them. I just fit in so well with everybody. I really wouldn't want
to be with any other team." He ended.

As for the patriarch of Turner Racing, the "Y-Town Hustler", Rick Turner was in action on April 26th at the track closest to home; the fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway, located just 20 minutes southwest of the Rick Turner Racing shop in Yorktown, Indiana. The Anderson Properties 125 Presented by Great Deals Savings Magazine marked the first of two appearances at the Central Indiana speed plant.

After qualifying 11th quick, Turner advanced up to the seventh spot and that's where he finished to score his first top 10 of the new season. "Our car was real good after about 10 laps. We were passing for fifth place and then the caution came out. I thought the car would go on the outside but we got stuck up there so we ended up seventh. Not bad but it's not where we need to be just yet. It's all coming together though." He stated.

"Now it's time to focus on Cole Rouse for the next three weeks and get him in contention to win races and compete for that Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title," The 55-year-old continued. "He's got a lot of talent and we're really excited to finally get the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour season started. In the meantime, we'll also tinker with ours and get it ready for Illiana on Memorial Day." He ended.

For the rest of the 2014 racing season, Rouse and his black and yellow #20 ColeRouseRacing.com Toyota Camry will have stickers adorning the car all year long from Rouse Custom Homes as well as McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H. Promotions. As for Turner's black and red #26, he will have sponsor decals from T.J.
