JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Starts For 16-Year-Old Hunter Baize At A Track He's Familiar With
VanDoorn Racing Development's first driver ready for a run at the title starting at Springport (Special from Hunter Baize Racing)
April 30, 2014
Bremen, Kentucky (April 30, 2014) – It's been a long winter / spring for Hunter Baize and
the VanDoorn Racing Development Team since February. The last time Baize was on the
track under race conditions was during Florida Speedweeks. The idea for 16-year-old
along-with with three-time CRA Championship Winning Crew Chief, Butch VanDoorn and
three-time ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion, Johnny VanDoorn, who served as Baize's
Driver Coach and Spotter, was to get valuable seat time and more importantly, to gel with
his new team during the month of February.

Despite some expected ups and downs in Florida, both Baize and the VanDoorn's were
very happy with the results; A solid fifth place finish in the final points standings featuring
one top five finish, a fifth on February 19th to go with four top 10s and five top 15 finishes
has the Bremen, Kentucky teenager optimistic heading into the rest of the 2014 racing
season and his bid for the 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet
Performance Championship.

Baize and the VanDoorn's now look ahead to the rest of the season starting this weekend.
The first points race in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour is this Sunday, May 4th at the 3/8s
(0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Springport Motor Speedway, located 90 minutes southeast of the VRD race shops in Springport, Michigan for the Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com.

"Everyone here is really excited about running for 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour title. I'm just ready to get back in the seat. It's been a long two months to be out of a race car." The Bremen, Kentucky driver stated. "The experience of Butch, Johnny, and the rest of the crew will provide much-needed leadership throughout the tour. As a driver it'll be nice to be at a track I'm actually familiar with in Springport. The hardest thing about a rookie campaign is adapting to a brand new track every week. It'll be great to actually roll into a track I have mental notes of." He added.

In addition to running for the 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour championship, Baize will also look to make select appearances later in the season in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. His Driver Coach and Spotter, Johnny VanDoorn has not completely abandoned the driver's seat as the Coopersville, Michigan standout looks to make a few appearances in the ARCA/CRA Super Series later in the year.

For the remainder  of the 2014 racing season all of Baize's red and black #13 VanDoorn Racing Development / Ford Fusions will carry sponsorship decals and support throughout the season from Kawasaki as well as Threaded Fasteners, Wood-Mizer Portable Saw Mills, B&K Wood Products, Sterling Lumber Company, Team Butch Racing Shocks  and M.P.H Promotions.
