JEGS/CRA Season Opener; Cabin Fever 100 Next Up For Dan Leeck

Birch Run, Michigan (April 29, 2014) – The chase for the 2014 JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour
presented by Chevrolet Performance championship begins this Sunday, May 4th for
Michigan driver, Dan Leeck at the Springport Motor Speedway in Springport, Michigan, for
the running of the “Cabin Fever 100” presented by JEGS.com.
2014 plans for Dan & his Dan Leeck Racing team are to once again chase the JEGS/
CRA All Stars Tour championship. “Last year, we really weren’t planning on running for
points, but we had a nice start to the season and I guess the rest is history. It will be nice
going into the season, knowing the goal is the championship,” stated the 24-year old
wheelman. Leeck finished 3rd in the 2013 JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour overall points
standings last season. He posted an impressive 9 top 10 finishes and won his first career
fast time award in JEGS/CRA competition at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana on October 11, 2013 during the 42nd annual Winchester 400 weekend.
The 2014 season for Dan Leeck & his Dan Leeck Racing team began at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, the site of the 48th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. “We just could not catch a break down there, we showed speed but didn’t have much luck,” said Leeck.
Dan Leeck Racing welcomes back Neil May as crew chief of the #12. May is best known for his work with super late models throughout the Midwest, as well as, his work with NASCAR star David Stremme. “This is the strongest team we have ever been able to put together, Neil has really helped to bring us all together as a team, it will be nice to go to the track knowing everything is the best it can be,” said the optimistic driver. Car owner Tom Renner will also serve at car chief. New to Dan Leeck Racing is Ed Schmit, who will serve as Tire Specialist during the 2014 season. Other crewmembers include Phillip Smalley, Neil May, Jr., & Jessica Hobson.
The Dan Leeck Racing team has a different look this season. The popular #12 Mr. Asphalt Pro Late Model will sport new colors; black, orange, & white and will carry some new logo’s as well. For the 2014 JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour season, Dan Leeck Racing is proud to be working with Mr. Asphalt, Alta Equipment Company, Diesel Truck Sales, Wellman Excavating and NEXT Motorsports Marketing. “Without all these great sponsors, 2014 wouldn’t be possible. After the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance season opener at Springport Motor Speedway in Springport, Michigan, Dan & his Dan Leeck Racing team will be headed to the Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri on Saturday, May 17, 2014 for the Mercy “Masters of the Pros” 144 presented by JEGS.com, where he finished 7th in last season.
