Yorktown, Indiana (March 12, 2014) – In the Champion Racing Association (CRA) Powered by JEGS world, the 'Y-Town
Hustler', Rick Turner is a name synonymous with the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. The 55-year-old
veteran driver is amongst the all-time leaders in just about every statistical category in the series' 18-year history dating
back to the inaugural 1997 racing season. With 214 career starts, tied for second all-time, the name Turner is a familiar
face when it comes to racing within CRA.
While Turner prepares for the upcoming 2014 racing season and another run at the ARCA/CRA Super Series
Championship, his team, Rick Turner Racing has expanded its horizons and in addition to Turner's ARCA/CRA schedule,
the team will be working with JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance competitor, Cole Rouse as
the Fort Smith, Arkansas freshman will compete for the 2014 Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title.
In the team's first outing with Rouse, which came during SpeedFest 2014 at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA) back
on January 26th, Rouse qualified 12th quick out of 35 teams on hand and came home with an 11th place showing in the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour portion of the season opening non-points weekend. Now with a race under their belts, the team
will make a return trip south, this time to South Alabama Speedway (AL) for the Pro Late Model Rattler 125.
"This is something that I've thought about for awhile for when the time comes to hang up the helmet for good." The
Yorktown, Indiana veteran stated. "We still plan on racing full-time in the ARCA/CRA Super Series. We finished fourth in
the points last year and we know we can still contend for wins. But looking ahead towards the future, we want to groom
up and coming drivers and help them move up the ladder. This is a great first step in doing that working with Cole
(Rouse)." He added.
While the veteran driver will serve as Rouse's Driving Coach during the season, Turner's brother, John Turner will fill the
role of Spotter as Rick's son, Richard Turner will call the shots on top of the pit box as Crew Chief for the 16-year-old
freshman as those three main components will provide over 50 years of racing experience for Rouse to lean on during his
rookie season. Addition crew members include; Gary Baldwin, James Kirby, Seth Ray and Robert Rhonemus.
After the Pro Late Model Rattler 125, Rouse and the Rick Turner Racing Team will then shift focus and all preparations will be steered towards the 2014 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Season Opener on Sunday, May 4th at the 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Springport Motor Speedway, located north of Jackson and south of Lansing in Springport, Michigan for the Cabin Fever 100 Presented by JEGS.com.
As for Turner, his 2014 debut and title chase begins with the ARCA/CRA Super Series season opener on Friday-Saturday, April 11-12th as the historic 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio as the Buckeye State oval hosts Border Wars I - 7-Up 150, a combination race pitting the ARCA/CRA Super Series head to head with their counterparts from the ARCA Midwest Tour.
For the 2014 racing season, Rouse's black and yellow #20 ColeRouseRacing.com Toyota Camry will have stickers adorning the car from Rouse Custom Homes as well as McGunegill Engine Performance and M.P.H. Promotions. As for Turner, the familiar black and yellow #26 sponsor decals include; T.J. Racing Lubricants as well as McGunegill Engine Performance, AR Bodies, Schoenfeld Headers, Port City Racecars, Q.S. Components, A.J.'s High-Speed Graphics, Heartfelt Creations, G.G.
