200-Lap $3,000 To Win CRA Street Stock Race Added To Schedule At Kentucky Motor Speedway
Memorial Day Weekend Event to also Feature Additional Travel Money for Top 20 CRA Teams

Salem, Indiana (February 7, 2014) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials and officials from
Kentucky Motor Speedway (KMS) in Whitesville, KY announced today that another signature event will be added to the
track and the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks Powered by JEGS 2014 schedules. A $3000 winner’s check will be
on the line when the CRA stars take to the track for a 200 lap event on Sunday, May 25th at the famed Kentucky Motor
Speedway. The top 20 teams in CRA points prior to that event will also receive guaranteed travel bonuses.
The 3/8’s mile track has a substantial history, and is known for helping launch the careers of Darrell and Michael Waltrip,
as well as David, Jeff and Mark Green. Recently, new track promoter Brad Payne, a former NASCAR All-Pro regular,
put a significant amount of time, energy and resources into updating the facility. Those efforts have been met with
overwhelming approval from fans and racers. He and his staff are now starting to focus on scheduling major events,
such as this long distance special on Memorial Day Weekend.
The weekend schedule will feature an open practice for all teams on Saturday afternoon/evening, with practice,
qualifying and racing on Sunday night of the holiday weekend.
“We’ve wanted to do something special with CRA.” commented Payne, “This Memorial Day CRA Street Stock 200 is a great way for us to get our foot in the door and let a lot more people see what a great racing facility we have here in Kentucky. Our goal is to build a relationship with CRA, which will lead to even bigger and better things down the road.”
KMS officials recently adopted many of the Stealth Trailers CRA Street Stocks rules for their local division of street stocks. “Our guys are looking forward to racing with best group of street stock racers in the country at this event,” Payne further noted.
The event at Kentucky Motor Speedway would mark a first in the history of CRA. “Surprisingly,” according to CRA co-owner Glenn Luckett, “this will be the first ever CRA event in the state of Kentucky. We’ve done events for multiple divisions, in states all around Indiana and south, but this will be the first for Kentucky. We are looking forward to getting to work with Brad and all his staff at KMS. And, it’s always great to put another signature event on the schedule for our Street Stock teams.”
