PGG 100 Presented by Thompson Builders This Saturday at Anderson Speedway for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman
Race to Pay $2000 to Win With Special Trophies for Top Three Finishers

Salem, Indiana (September 9, 2014) – The Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman
Powered by JEGS will return to action this Saturday night in the PGG 100 Presented by
Thompson Builders at Anderson Speedway, located in Anderson Indiana. The event will
showcase the best of the CRA Late Model Sportsman against the best of the Anderson
Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models in a 100 green flag lap event
that will pay $2000 to the winner and will have special trophies for the top three finishers.
The event was originally scheduled to be a MEP Late Model event on August 23rd at
Anderson Speedway, but was postponed because of persistent rain showers.

This weekend will be the eighth event of the season for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late
Model Sportsman, to date the series has had seven different winners in the seven events
held so far this season. Series event winners in 2014 include Chris Hacker, Trey Craig,
Danny Trent, Greg Van Alst, Jason Atkinson, Shawn Amor and Billy Van Meter, who got
the win in the series last event at Winchester Speedway on September 1st.

Van Alst comes into this weekend as the series points leader, he has a slim five point
lead over top series rookie Jack Dossey III. Billy Van Meter is now in third place, he is 17
points behind Dossey. Atkinson is in fourth place, he is 19 points behind Van Meter.
Rookie J.P. Crabtree is in fifth place, he is four points behind Atkinson. The top five are
only separated by 45 points with only three events left in the 2014 season.

Dossey is the current point’s leader with the Anderson Speedway McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Van Meter is in second place, 47 points behind Dossey. Jeff Marcum is in third place, Kent Baledge is in fourth and the #7 owned by Dave Hacker and driven by Rob Allman and Jimmy Kirby is in fifth place.

Pit gates open on Saturday at 3:30pm, practice will begin at 5pm with qualifying at 6:30pm. The race program will begin at 8pm and will include the PGG 100 Presented by Thompson Builders for the Vore’s Welding CRA Late Model Sportsman Powered by JEGS and McGunegill Engine Performance Late Models. Also racing in Saturday night’s program are the WOFS Figure 8 Series and the Thunder Roadsters.
