Podium Finish For Chad Finley In The ARCA/CRA Super Series
Triple-duty weekend ends on a high note at Lucas Oil Raceway (Special from Chad Finley Racing)
September 30, 2014
DeWitt, Michigan (September 30, 2014) – Chad Finley attempted a rare triple-header
weekend of racing between September 26-28th. It all started at the  'Monster Mile' of
Dover International Speedway (DE) in Dover, Delaware in the NASCAR K&N Pro
Series East season finale; the Drive Sober 150. Then the CFR Team made the long
trek west to Lucas Oil Raceway (IN), located west of Indianapolis in Brownsburg,
Indiana to compete in both the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance portions of the
McGunegill Engine Performance CRA Fall Brawl 2014 Presented by EDCO Welding.

After engine problems forced him from the race at Dover, things were looking up at
LOR as the DeWitt, Michigan driver won the EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Award in
the ARCA/CRA portion of the weekend. He then qualified second quick in the JEGS/
CRA portion. In the mains, the JEGS/CRA race was first and engine issues again
forced the 22-year-old to park the car early after moving up to fifth just 25 laps in.
However in the ARCA/CRA headlining event, Finley would redeem the entire
weekend with a solid third place showing.

“For sure this was the busiest weekend of my career thus far but miles away from
what we were hoping to capture over this long week. The K&N car was a big
disappointment to say the least, I know how hard my dad works to make those
races happen. The motor got sent out to be rebuilt and looked through after Iowa, it just wouldn’t get up to speed or turn any RPM’s.  I hate it for everyone, we will get it fixed and see what comes next.” The 22-year-old stated about the disappointment they faced in Dover this past Friday.

“The template cars were very fast and we were very thankful for that. The crate car was pretty fast all weekend, but during the race something happened internally to the engine and I decided to park it early instead of doing more harm to it. The Super car was awesome, but we just didn’t get the luck of the draw on the inversion which put us way back in the field and track position was very important.”

For the rest of the 2014 racing season, Finley will run in mainly high-profile Super Late Model races throughout the country primarily in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS. He'll also race in events within the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour and the Southern Super Series. Finley will also compete in an Outlaw Bodied Super Late Model in the Great Lakes Helicopter Main Event Racing Series .

“We have a few weeks off for everyone to recoup from the long weekend we had. Our next race will be in the Great Lakes Helicopter #42 Outlaw Super Late Model at Sandusky Speedway (OH) on October 10-12th for Main Event XXVII. I am very thankful to get the opportunity to drive the car for John & Meloney Lojko, we had a very good car at Toledo (Speedway in Toledo, OH on September 20th for the Glass City 200) so hopefully we can pick up where we left off ” Finley ended. After Sandusky the Chad Finley Racing Team will start focusing on the template bodied cars and get them ready for the All-American 400 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville (TN) and also the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway (FL).

All of Finley's #42 entries will carry sponsorship support and decals all season long from Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers as well as AutoParts2020.com, The Air Lift Company, Great Lakes Helicopter, XLT Engineering, NorthsideTowing.net, Five Star Racecar Bodies, Bassett Racing Wheels, Affordable Tire & Service, Bosch Spark Plugs, Hyperco Suspension, Superior Racing Images and M.P.H.
