Kevin Zielezinski & Lorz Motorsports Ready For Trip To The Circle City
Lucas Oil Raceway next for Prairie State rookie driver (Special from Lorz Motorsports)
September 26, 2014
Midlothian, Illinois (September 26, 2014) – Kevin Zielezinski is getting an opportunity
most drivers could only dream of. After joining the crew of Lorz Motorsports during
the 2011 racing season, the Manhattan, Illinois resident climbed behind the wheel of
a full-bodied Late Model for the first time in 2013 in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
Presented by Chevrolet Performance. Fast forward to 2014 and Zielezinski is living a
dream for anyone looking to race; actually doing so in a professional touring series.

Four starts into his brief racing career, the 24-year-old is holding his own in the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour with two top 15 finishes, both of those 13th place efforts
which came at Anderson Speedway (IN) on July 26th and Owosso Speedway (MI)
on September 6th. Now the Prairie State rookie, a freshman in every sense of the
word, will start at the biggest race track of his brief career; the 0.686 mile semi-
banked paved oval of Lucas Oil Raceway on September 27-28th in the McGunegill
Engine Performance CRA Fall Brawl 2014 Presented by EDCO Welding.

"Every time I get in the car I learn a lot, which is the goal for this year. Learn,
complete as many laps as possible, and bring the car home in one piece." Zielezinki
stated as he prepares for the biggest race track of his brief career. "I am excited to
get to a big, fast track like Lucas Oil Raceway and continue to improve as a driver. It
is going to be exciting racing at a track I grew up watching races at.  I am extremely
lucky to be a part of such an accomplished and respected team that Lorz Motorsports is, and look forward to growing into a championship contender." He added.

"We're definitely looking forward to going to LOR this weekend with Kevin. He has done excellent job this year learning as much as possible so he can put towards a 2015 rookie of the year run in JEGS/CRA," Added Lorz Motorsports Car Owner, Mike Lorz. "He works hard at his racing career hoping to move up the later someday. He also works in the shop on the car, he knows how everything works, and he does his own tires, he knows how the car feels and excellent feedback." He added.

"Kevin has an engineering degree from Northern Illinois University (NIU) which helps him understand everything about the car." Continued the veteran Car Owner. "He has been with the team since 2010 as crew member while he was in school just learning as much as possible so some day his dream of driving a race car would come true and it has. He's improving every time out which is a good sign." He ended.

In Zielezinski's last race, the Michigan Cup 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Springport Motor Speedway (MI) on September 20th, he stayed on the lead lap to finish 16th after starting 19th in a stacked field. "Springport was a good race for myself and the team. We were able to improve on our Auto Truck Group / Ford throughout practice and ended up with a car that raced very well." He explained.

Zielezinski is not a total stranger to motorsports having started racing Go-Karts as a teenager running races in the Yamaha Super-Can class. He also drove a student-built Formula car while studying Mechanical Engineering at NIU for the Formula SAE Collegiate design series, before getting back into Karting in the LO206 series. Zielezinski scored two Feature Wins and seven podium finishes in Karting. After going to work for Lorz Motorsports in 2010 as a crew member and shop hand. He had the opportunity to run some tests and start and parks in 2013 which has led to a limited schedule in 2014 with hopes of competing for the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title in 2015.

For LOR, Zielezinski's #12 Auto Truck Group / Lorz Motorsports / Ford will have addition sponsorship support from A.S.I.
