Yorktown, Indiana (September 26, 2014) – With the 2014 racing season winding
down, both of Rick Turner Racing's drivers are ready for the next to the last race of
the season for both competitors. Veteran Rick Turner with the ARCA/CRA Super
Series Powered by JEGS and 17-year-old rookie, Cole Rouse in the JEGS/CRA All-
Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will be heading down to the
immaculate Lucas Oil Raceway (IN), located west of Indianapolis in Brownsburg,
Indiana for the McGunegill Engine Performance CRA Fall Brawl 2014 Presented by
EDCO Welding.
After both drivers Qualify on Saturday, September 27th, the following day on Sunday,
September 28th, the 56-year-old Turner will compete in the headlining ARCA/CRA
Super Series race; the EDCO Welding 100 Presented by Quarter Master while
Rouse, a contender for the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title in the
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, will race in the Chevrolet Performance 100 Presented by
Advanced Racing Suspension earlier in the afternoon.
Coming into the weekend, Turner is fourth in the season long points standings within
ARCA/CRA with one top five finish, a runner-up showing at Winchester Speedway
(IN) on September 1st to go with his four top 10 finishes. The Yorktown, Indiana
driver is at or near the top of just about every major statistical category in series
history. In addition to sitting on top of the all-time career starts mark with 226, he is
at least in the top five in five other major categories.
As for Rouse, he's sitting is third in the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year
title chase while also eighth overall in JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour points. The Fort
Smith, Arkansas driver has three top 10 finishes with a season high placing of eighth
at Winchester Speedway (IN) on August 31st.
After LOR, both teams will then prepare for the 43rd Running of the Winchester 400
Weekend on Friday-Sunday, October 10-12th at the legendary 1/2 (0.500) mile high-
banked paved oval of Winchester Speedway (IN). The historic facility is located west
of the Indiana / Ohio state line and east of Muncie in Winchester, Indiana. Rouse will
start the weekend off in the Winchester 100 Presented by JEGS.com on October
10th then Turner takes over on the 11th with Qualifying and then on the 120th with
the 400-lap main.
