John Hunter Nemechek Looking to Get Elusive Win at  MEP CRA Fall Brawl 2014 At Lucas Oil Raceway
Kyle Busch Beat Nemechek by Inches in July LOR Event
September 19, 2014
Salem, Indiana (September 19, 2014) – John Hunter Nemechek, the 17 year old son of
long time NASCAR Competitor and former NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion Joe
Nemechek, has one goal for the upcoming MEP CRA Fall Brawl 2014 Presented by
EDCO Welding, and that is to get the win in the 100 lap ARCA/CRA Super Series
Powered by JEGS event, it would not only be his first series win but also his first win in a
Super Late Model.

Nemechek, who is competing in selected NASCAR Camping World Truck Series events
this season as well as selected Super Late Model and Crate Late Model events around
the country, and has shown he is a young racer with lots of talent, his highest finish with
the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is sixth, which he has done three times at
tracks like Dover, Bristol and Eldora, and he has two wins in JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour
special events at SpeedFest 2014 at Watermelon Capital Speedway and at the
Milwaukee Mile. But nothing showed his talent like the 43 laps he fought off NASCAR All-
Star Kyle Busch for the lead at the ARCA/CRA Super Series July 25th event at Lucas Oil
Raceway, to end up losing by 0.024 seconds to Busch at the finish line.

Busch was quoted after that race as saying, “"I kind of figured I had won. It was close;
just about a nose piece ahead of him and that was about it. That was more work than
what I will probably have to do for the rest of the Brickyard weekend. John Hunter (Nemechek) did a great job. He's won races and has a good team behind him.  His dad is working really hard for him.  That’s family, and that’s love, so you can’t beat that.”

Nemechek worked his way around early leader Ross Kenseth on lap 54, bringing Busch with him to second. The events last caution flew on lap 57 setting up the last 43 lap green flag battle that had the fans standing and cheering as the two racers battled for the win, trading paint coming out of turn four heading for the finish line on the last lap.

Nemechek will be doing double duty at Indy next weekend, he will also compete in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour 100 lap event, going for his third win in that series in 2014. Nemechek will make his eighth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start of the season this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
