Second Place Showing At Winchester Speedway For Veteran Rick Turner; Tricky Kil-Kare Speedway Next
'Y-Town Hustler' now fourth in ARCA/CRA Super Series points (Special from Rick Turner Racing)
September 10, 2014
Yorktown, Indiana (September 10, 2014) – With three races left in the 2014 racing season
for the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS, Rick Turner is showing that he still
has something left for the young lions of the series. An impressive second place finish in
the Winchester 100 on Labor Day Monday, September 1st at the famed high-banks of
Winchester Speedway (IN) proved that. After accepting a special plaque in honor of
breaking the all-time career starts mark in the series during pre-race ceremonies, the 56-
year-old then went out and proved he's still got what it takes.

After hounding eventual race winner, Cody Coughlin for the first 75 laps of the 100-lap
main, Turner held on for his highest finish of the season, a second place showing. With
the impressive run, the Yorktown, Indiana driver moved up to fourth in the season long
points chase. He's only 43 points outside of the podium position of third. With three races
remaining in the season, it's not out of the realm of impossibility for Turner to reach that
spot and he knows it.

"It was truly an amazing day at Winchester. That award was really cool and is a result of
a lot of dedication not just for me, but for this entire team," The appreciative driver stated.
We had a fast car and man I was pushing Cody for as long as I could. I really wanted to
win this one, but the car was not there for us in the end. We finished a strong second
though and no one was going to touch Cody or me all day. That's the best part. We were competitive and it proves this whole team still has something left for these guys. I can't wait for the 400; we're going to have something for everybody then." He smiled.

Now the team will get ready for a return trip to the tricky 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval of Kil-Kare Speedway (OH), located southeast of Dayton in Xenia, Ohio on Sunday, September 14th. The Buckminn's D&D Harley-Davidson / Oakley Blacktop 125 is next on the schedule. "We can only improve on what we did last year there. That place is just different." Laughed the Hoosier State veteran. "We'll see what happens though. Hoping to improve on what we did there last year and get out of there with a solid finish. We just want to keep building the momentum for the last two races at two of my favorite places; Lucas Oil Raceway and then back to Winchester." He ended.

Heading into Kil-Kare, Turner has one top five finish, the runner-up showing at Winchester to go with his four top 10 finishes. Turner is at or near the top of just about every major statistical category in ARCA/CRA Super Series history. In addition to sitting on top of the all-time career starts mark with 225, he is at least in the top five in five other major categories.

As for the RTR Development Driver within the teams' stables, Cole Rouse will head to Springport Motor Speedway (MI) on Saturday, September 20th for the Michigan Cup 100 Presented by JEGS.com, the next race on the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance schedule. The 17-year-old from Fort  Smith, Arkansas finished 10th in his last race, the Big 'O' Classic 100 Presented by JEGS.com on September 6th at Owosso Speedway (MI) and is currently third in the Howie Lettow Memorial Rookie of the Year title chase while also climbing up to sixth overall in JEGS/CRA points.

For the rest of the 2014 season, Turner's familiar #26 will have sponsor decals from T.J. Racing Lubricants as well as McGunegill Engine Performance, G&G Oil of Indiana, AR Bodies, Schoenfeld Headers, Port City Racecars, Q.S. Components, A.J.'s High-Speed Graphics, Heartfelt Creations, M.P.H. Promotions and Rick Turner Racing.
