New Zealand Open-Wheel Ace, Michael Pickens Reunites With Lorz Motorsports Starting At Kil-Kare Speedway
Pickens set to make ARCA/CRA Super Series debut at tricky Buckeye State oval (Special from Lorz Motorsports)

Midlothian, Illinois (September 10, 2014) – Lorz Motorsports is looking to regroup and
finish strong for the remainder of the 2014 racing season.  In the past several races in
both the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars
Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, Kevin Zielezinski has been manning the
controls of the #12 Lorz Motorsports / Ford. For the next race on the schedule, the
Buckminn's D&D Harley-Davidson / Oakley Blacktop 125 at Kil-Kare Speedway (OH), the
team has brought in a 'ringer'.

Auckland, New Zealand open-wheel standout, Michael Pickens returns to the driver's seat
for Lorz Motorsports this Sunday, September 14th at the tricky 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-
banked paved oval. The 31-year-old has raced for the team before, back in 2007 season in
the old ASA (Varney) Late Model Series Southern Division where he scored a pair of third
place finishes at the now defunct Birmingham International Raceway (AL) as well as at
Hickory Motor Speedway (NC). This will be his first appearance back behind the wheel of
a Late Model since the 2008 season.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back on the pavement for Lorz Motorsports; we had a
good couple of races when I ran for them last." Pickens stated as he and his team
prepare for his return to Late Model racing behind the wheel of the #12 Kiwi Landscaping /
Powersource Racing Engines / Ford. "It's been a few years, but it should all come back to me pretty quick." He added.

"We look forward to racing with Michal this weekend. He has driven for us before and led over 100 laps at Birmingham. He's very exciting to watch and we are very excited about him racing with us again," Stated Lorz Motorsports Car Owner, Mike Lorz. "We tested awhile ago at the Grundy County Speedway (IL) and it went very well. The whole Lorz Motorsports team is excited about this weekend. I would like to thank the Lorz Team for working hard and sticking together for all these years." He added.

Pickens does have one trip to victory lane in Late Models, which came during the 2008 season in the ASA (Varney) Late Model Series Northern Division at Dixie Motor Speedway (MI). Pickens finished ninth that season in the final points standings. His overall racing resume is stacked with open-wheel accomplishments including a career high third place finish in the 2011 Chili Bowl. He's also a six-time and defending New Zealand Midget Champion, a four-time New Zealand Grand Prix Winner and a two-time North Island Midget champion. He has multiple Herman Tros Shield and USAC/POWRI/Badger Midgets Series feature wins, a UMRA TQ feature win and a Sprint Car victory.

For the Kil-Kare event, Pickens will have sponsorship support from Kiwi Landscaping as well as Powersource Racing Engines, Maverick Undercar Performance and Mike 'Top Gun' Venegas.
