Four Races Left In Ross Kenseth's Quest For The 2014 ARCA/CRA Super Series Championship

Three events at tracks where he's gone to victory lane before; Now 17 points out of top five (Special from Boyne Machine Racing)

Jenison, Michigan (August 27, 2014) – At the beginning of the 2014 racing season, Ross

Kenseth and the Boyne Machine Company Racing Team had a plan to set out to capture

the 2014 ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS championship. Since the first

points race at Toledo Speedway (OH) back on April 12th, the Little Chute, Wisconsin

driver hasn't been outside of the top three in the season long points chase. He has been

on top of the charts for a period of time during the season thanks to consistent finishes.

Heading into the final stretch of four races to close out the ARCA/CRA Super Series

season, the 21-year-old is ready to go with two races at Winchester Speedway (IN) and

one at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN). Both tracks that Kenseth has won at in CRA competition.

The one wildcard track is Kil-Kare Speedway (OH). So while Kenseth trails defending

series champion, Travis Braden by 18 points (930-912) going into the  Winchester 100

this Sunday-Monday, August 31-September 1st at the famed high-banks, he knows

there's time left to catch and perhaps even overtake the reigning champion.

"I'm looking forward to getting back to Winchester a track where I have enjoyed some

success at. If we keep getting cars like we have had the last two races it will only  be a

matter of time before we get that first win this year." The son of NASCAR Sprint Cup

Series star, Matt Kenseth remarked. "We have made a lot of changes the last couple

months to these cars and I feel like it has made a big difference in our performance." He added.

In the last two races, the Boyne Machine Company 100 at Kalamazoo Speedway (MI) on August 13th and the 7-Up 125 at Flat Rock Speedway (MI) on August 16th, Kenseth came away from both Great Lakes State tracks with finishes of fourth and sixth respectively. In addition, Kenseth won his first Fast Qualifier Award of the season at Flat Rock to gain some important bonus points on Braden. So while Braden had finishes of third and a victory in the same two events, Kenseth has not let him stray too far out in front in the points battle.

"Kalamazoo and Flat Rock were huge steps in the right direction." The driver of the #77 Boyne Machine Company / Enterprise Iron & Metal / Doc360 / Ford continued. "I really feel like if it wasn't for the flat tire at Flat Rock we could have made it tough on Travis. This is going to be fun battling with him the rest of the way for the championship. He's good at all three tracks and we've never seen Kil-Kare before. Looking forward to it." He ended.

So far during the 2014 racing season in ARCA/CRA Super Series competition, Kenseth has racked up three top five finishes with a season high showing of a third at Anderson Speedway (IN) back on April 26th. What's kept Kenseth within at least the top three in the season long points chase is the whopping nine top 10 showings in 10 series points races during the year. His worst finish was a 17th in the Battle at Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway (MI) back on July 19th.

Kenseth's black #77 will carry the colors of Boyne Machine Company, Enterprise Iron & Metal and DOC360, the three primary sponsors, for the rest of the 2014 racing season.
