Beavercreek, Ohio (June 26, 2014) – All Brandon Oakley needed in ARCA/CRA Super
Series Powered by JEGS was a strong finish in a high profile event. If nothing else to
prove that he truly belonged with the elite in Super Late Models racing in the country. That
opportunity came in the last race, which also happened to be the first round of the
$100,000, the Stoops Freightliner Redbud 300 at the fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked
paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana on June 21st.
After Qualifying 10th out of a 24-car field, the 19-year-old fought to stay in the top 10 the
entire race and was as high as second at one point before hanging on for a solid fifth
place finish. "We had a really good run in the RedBud 300 and hopefully we can keep the
good runs going." Stated the Beavercreek, Ohio driver. "We have continued to get better
and progress in the right direction this year and I hope we can continue in that same
direction." He added.
Oakley will now focus his efforts on the next race on the schedule; the JEGS 125
Presented by CoughlinCars.com for the ARCA/CRA Super Series on Saturday, June 28th.
A track his is very familiar with, the 1/3 (0.333) mile semi-banked, circular shaped paved
oval of Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus, Ohio. In his last race at Columbus, a
JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance event on May 24th,
Oakley won his first career CRA Fast Qualifier Award and would finish eighth in the Agroscapes 100 Presented by SizzleMarine.com & JEGS.com.
"I'm definitely looking forward to Columbus this weekend. I think if we can work hard and get a couple of breaks, we can certainly get us a solid top five run and maybe even contend for the win." The Buckeye State teenager continued. "We were pretty happy with our results from there on Memorial Day Weekend with getting the Fast Qualifier Award. We just missed it in the race a little bit, but we know what we need to do now." He ended
