Downey Racing, LLC Seeking a Driver for the ARCA/CRA Super Series

Avon, Indiana (May 12, 2014) – Downey Racing, LLC is looking to expand its driver
development program in the ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS for the remainder
of the 2014-racing season and beyond. Downey Racing, LLC is looking to sign a talented
& funded driver that wants to compete for wins and championships.
Downey Racing, LLC has been established for over 25 years. Team owner Mark Downey;
alongside his son and racecar driver Brent Downey have built Downey Racing, LLC into a
true racing powerhouse. In 1999, they won the Young Lions National Points
Championship in Legends cars and the Anderson Speedway Track Championship in the
same year. In 2010, they won the ASA National Tour Championship and in 2012, they
finished 2nd in the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour. During 2013, they made select starts while
building a brand new, Template Port City Super Late Model to compete in the ARCA/CRA
Super Series. Derrick Griffin, the 2011 ARCA/CRA Super Series Rookie of the Year &
Champion, piloted the new Downey Racing, LLC Super Late Model at Memphis
Motorsports Park, winning the Fast Time Award & setting a new track record!
Downey Racing, LLC utilizes a newly updated Port City racecar powered by a
McGunnegill Engine Performance racing engine. Their racecars are maintained properly
each and ever week with the best equipment, parts, and people in the business.

2011 ARCA/CRA Super Series Rookie of the Year & Champion, Derrick Griffin added, “The Downey family is great, they treat their drivers & employees like family, I can’t thank them enough for their support.
Derrick Griffin serves as Fabricator, as well as, Car Chief on the #25 Downey Racing, LLC Super Late Model. Griffin, a hotshoe himself, wins in everything he gets in, most recently winning 2 of 3 races in the Top Speed ICAR Modified Tour at Lucas Oil Raceway and Springport Motor Speedway respectively.
