Stayner, Ontario (April 29, 2014) – Just two weeks after a mechanical issue spoiled a
strong run in the ARCA/CRA Super Series season opener at Toledo Speedway, Brandon
Watson returned to the tour with an impressive 4th place finish in Round 2 of competition
at Anderson Speedway.

"This is exactly what this team needed", exclaimed Watson post-race. "It was a long ride
home after our DNF at Toledo, but we knew how important it was to come back with a
strong effort tonight. We needed this. "

The team opened their afternoon with a strong time trial effort, clocking in 4th quickest in
the talent-laden field. A move that satisfied a strategy Watson had set out for himself
earlier in the week.

"In the truck heading to the speedway, I told myself how important a good qualifying run
was going to be. Anderson's a tight track, and starting position is as important here as
any speedway we visit".

In a race mired by few cautions, Watson rode for much of the midway portion, ready for a
late-race push.

"It's tempting to run full out early on, but you really have to take care of your equipment on these bullrings", explained the third-generation competitor. "I knew what we had fairly early on, but there was no sense in getting ahead of ourselves. We rode until about 20 laps to go, then started to put on the pressure".

After cruising in 5th for much of the race, a late race caution allowed Watson the opportunity to move into the 4th position. Racking up his 2nd top-5 finish of the 2014 season.

"We came down looking for a win, but after a rough start at Toledo, we're elated with a top-5 finish", admitted Watson. "The car was a touch loose all night, and I was just doing all I could to save my tires. All in all, a great run".

Brandon will next see action on May 10th at Sunset Speedway, for the first annual APC 100 Pro Late Model event.

Brandon's 2014 season is made possible thanks to support from Shear Metal Products, Royal Distributing, Barrie Frame & Alignment, The Smart Exchange and Knightworks Designs. Additional packages are still available.
