Solid Fourth Place Finish For Ross Kenseth Has Team Looking Forward To Anderson Speedway
Anderson 125 up next for Boyne Machine Racing (Special from Boyne Machine Racing)
April 16, 2014
Jenison, Michigan (April 16, 2014) – The 2014 racing season is now well under way for
Ross Kenseth and the Boyne Machine Racing Team. After spending time in Florida for
Speedweeks and participating in the Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway (AL), the
first race a little closer to home was finally next on the schedule for the Little Chute,
Wisconsin native.

Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio was the site for the 2014 season opener for the ARCA/
CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS as Border Wars I - 7-Up 150 was on Saturday, April
12 at the famed 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval located just south of the
Michigan / Ohio state line. This race is also the first of two combination races between
the ARCA/CRA Super Series and the ARCA Midwest Tour, where Kenseth won the 2010
Rookie of the Year title.

However, the 20-year-old was flying the colors of the ARCA/CRA Super Series and after
qualifying fifth quick out of a stout 42-car field, Kenseth's #77 Boyne Machine Company /
Enterprises Iron & Metal / Ford would start the 150-lap main from the outside of the
second row after an inversion draw of an eight. Kenseth never strayed too far outside of
the top five the entire race and in the end would bring home a solid fourth place finish.

"I thought Toledo went fairly well. There was a lot of talent there and it was a good chance to see where we stacked up." Kenseth offered after the race. "I felt like we made progress on the car all weekend, we just lacked a little bit of rear grip during the race. Being my first time there in five years and (Crew Chief) Kelly's (Bires) first time there ever, I felt like we did a decent job. Obviously we really wanted to get a win but I feel like if we raced there again next weekend we would be tough to beat." He added.

Kenseth, Bires and the rest of the crew will take the Easter Holiday Weekend off before returning to ARCA/CRA Super Series competition on Saturday, April 26th. The Anderson 125 will be held at the fast 1/4 (0.250) mile high-banked paved oval of Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana. The site of one of Kenseth's biggest wins of his career; the Redbud 300 back in 2012.

"I'm excited to be heading to Anderson. It's a track I really like racing on and I seem to run well there. So I'm looking forward to getting back on that track again." The Jenison, Michigan resident continued. "(Anderson Speedway Promoter) Rick Dawson and the entire CRA management and staff always do a great job of making events there really fun to be a part of. So it should be another really fun weekend." He ended.

In addition to the ARCA/CRA Super Series races on the schedule, Kenseth will also run in some events with the ARCA Midwest Tour as well as the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance and in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East later in the year. Also, and on some off weekends, he will race close to the Boyne Machine Racing shop at Berlin Raceway (MI) in the tracks Boyne Machine Company Super Late Models Series for Template Super Late Models.

For the remainder of the 2014 campaign, Kenseth's fleet of #77 Boyne Machine Racing / Enterprise Iron & Metal / Ford Fusions are continually seeking sponsorship to go along with the decals already on the car from Boyne Machine Company as well as Enterprise Iron & Metal to join up with Doc360, McGunegill Engine Performance, Draco Springs, Penske Racing Shocks, AP Racing Brakes, Quartermaster, Fast Signs of Appleton, Wisconsin and M.P.H.
