7Up 150 Border Wars entry list growing
Toledo Speedway to host the first of two combination races between the ARCA/CRA Super Series & ARCA Midwest Tour

Toledo, Ohio (March 29, 2014) – The 7UP 150 at Toledo Speedway is two weeks away and the entry list is already impressive for the race, which is the second annual event that combines drivers from the ARCA Midwest Tour and the ARCA/CRA Super Series.
Among the early entries are drivers with an ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards background.
Cody Coughlin, from Delaware, Ohio, made his ARCA Racing Series debut at Mobile International Speedway last weekend and is among those on the entry list. He finished 13th while driving the JEGS car for Venturini Motorsports.
Also on the entry list is Jonathan Eilen, from Hampton, Minnesota. Eilen is a Midwest Tour veteran who finished in the top five at Elko Speedway last year while driving for Cunning ham Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards race at the Minnesota track.
A recent entry is Ross Kenseth. Kenseth made his ARCA Racing Series debut at Madison Int'l Speedway a year ago, winning the pole. He's a frequent late model competitor.
Thirty cars will start the race – 20 by qualifying, six by provisional and four by a last chance race. Of the six provisional spots, three will come from the ARCA/CRA Super Series and three from the ARCA Midwest Tour. There will be a 10-minute break in the race at lap 76.
"Things are coming together nicely for the opener. Both series are going to be bringing a power house of experience and talent to Toledo and we fully expect that this will be a very tough field to make. We are excited to get the season kicked off and provide the fans with an awesome show,” said ARCA Midwest Tour series vice-president Steve Einhaus.

The 2013 event was the very first time these two touring series combined forces for one 150 lap race. Johnny VanDoorn of Coopersville, Michigan, was the winner. The event drew 43 cars.
The 2014 version of the 7UP 150 is expected to draw participants from throughout the Midwest, especially Michigan-Ohio-Indiana plus Minnesota-Wisconsin-Illinois. Dennis Strickland, a former Toledo Speedway track champion, is also officially entered. He will be driving for Bailey Motorsports.
The schedule calls for an optional practice from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 11. The pit area will open at 11 a.m. The schedule for Saturday, April 12 has the pit area opening at 8 a.m., practice from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., qualifying at 1 p.m., with the last-chance race (if necessary) set for 3 p.m. The on-track autograph session, driver introductions and the 7-Up 150 lap main event will follow.
The 7-Up 150 will also be taped by the Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) for showing on the “Sunday Night at the Races” show at 9 p.m. on the local cable access channel Sunday, April 13.
