Ric Flair Forced to Cancel Appearance at Zaxby’s SpeedFest 2014   

Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia to Host Season Opener(s)

Salem, Indiana (January 21, 2014) – Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS officials have announced that Wrestling great Ric Flair has had to cancel his scheduled appearance at the Zaxby’s SpeedFest 2014 this weekend. Flair was scheduled to be the event’s Grand Marshall and sign autographs, but he received a call from the WWE to serve on a panel for Sunday’s Royal Rumble.

Flair released the following statement "To the fans, crew and drivers, I profusely apologize that I won't be able to be at the race, but hope everyone still heads out to Watermelon Capital Speedway this weekend to support my buddy David Ragan at Zaxby’s SpeedFest 2014."

The Zaxby’s SpeedFest 2014 will take place at beautiful Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia, this coming weekend. The event will be chalked full of entertainment and some of the best racers in the country competing in 325 laps of late model racing action. The Zaxby’s SpeedFest 2014 will consist of a 200 lap ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Model special non-points event and a 125 lap JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance Pro Late Model special non-points event. The SpeedFest 200 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series will have a break at lap 100 and will count yellow flag laps up to lap 175. The Chevrolet Performance 125 for JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Pro Late Models will be a four tire only event and will count yellow flag laps up to lap 100.
