Coopersville, Michigan (November 24, 2014) – The most prestigious short track
race in the country is on the horizon. The 47th Annual Snowball Derby is set for
December 3-7th at the fast 1/2 (0.500) mile high-banked paved oval of Five Flags
Speedway (FL). Three-Time ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS
Champion, Johnny VanDoorn is hoping that the third start in the 300-lap event will
be the charm resulting in a trip to victory lane and the coveted Tom Dawson
Trophy sitting and waiting for him at the end of the race.

Finishes of 18th in 2010 and 24th in 2011 hasn't set well with the Coopersville,
Michigan standout. After not making the trip since the 2011 version of the race,
VanDoorn is heading back south loaded and ready. Armed with the cast and
crew of T.K. Racing with Car Owner, Tom Kmak as well as his own VanDoorn
Racing Development Team, VanDoorn will once again join forces with the
prominent Tinley Park, Illinois based team and make the trip down to the
Sunshine State.

"T.K. (Tom Kmak) is a super guy to race for. He really takes care of all of us
on the team. Between his guys and my guys, we all really work well together.
"The 26-year-old stated as the entire team prepares for the trip south to
Pensacola, Florida."We've been really happy with the little bit of racing that
we've done this season. Plus business is going good. We've learned a lot about
designing and racing better cars. Hopefully we can bring all of that together down in Pensacola." He added.

"This year has been busy to say the least with starting up VanDoorn Racing Development, the progress we've made with Hunter Baize in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, plus winning the Battle at Berlin 251 in our own car," Continued VanDoorn. "Now we're heading down to the Snowball Derby with Tom (Kmak) who's never been down to this race before, not even with Eddie (Hoffman). In the past we've been close to winning the Derby and it would be great to give T.K. Racing their first win in the race in their first start." He ended.

VanDoorn is one of the all-time leaders in most every statistical category in the ARCA/CRA Super Series. He has 18 career wins, tied for third all-time with Canadian legend, Junior Hanley.
