Ali Kern Invited To NASCAR Drive For Diversity Combine At Langley Speedway
2013 Rookie of the Year to miss final ARCA/CRA Super Series race of 2014 to attend (Special from Ali Kern Motorsports)
October 8, 2014
Fremont, Ohio (October 8, 2014) – Ali Kern is the reigning Rookie of the Year in the
ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and was the 2013 Overall Runner-Up in
the series. Her sophomore campaign in the premier Super Late Model tour in the
country has been an adventurous one to say the least. The 43rd running of the
Winchester 400 at the legendary high-banks of Winchester Speedway (IN) is the
final race of the season in the series and Kern will be absent from the event. But she
has a very good reason for missing one of the premier races in the country.

The 21-year-old from Fremont, Ohio has been selected to compete in the NASCAR
Drive for Diversity Combine on October 13-15th at Langley Speedway (VA) in
Hampton, Virginia. 20 multicultural and female race car drivers from the United
States, Canada and Latin America will participate in the 11th Annual event with a
chance at a ride in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series with Rev Racing. An opportunity
that Kern relishes as she climbs the ladder in the world of motorsports.

"It's a huge honor to be invited and I'm humbled at the opportunity NASCAR and Rev
Racing is giving me." The appreciative driver stated. "Logistically, we could not make
both events without having a private plane so we're heading down on Sunday, the day of the Winchester 400 which means unfortunately we're going to miss the 400."All of us at Ali Kern Motorsports would like to thank Glenn Luckett, R.J. Scott and everyone at CRA for all their hard work and for all of the support and encouragement we received this season." She added.

"A special Thank You also to Scott Neal Racing for making it possible for us to complete this season and for Scott's excellent coaching and support." The Buckeye State driver continued. "We wish all the teams competing this year good luck and be safe. Also a very special thanks to Hal Hawk and everyone at Crown Battery for their support to this entire team all year long." She ended.

The one good thing about missing the 400 is that, driver's points wise, Kern will not fall from her current standing of sixth in the season long points chase. In 13 points races she garnered one top five finish, an impressive second place finish at Flat Rock Speedway (MI) on August 16th. Overall she recorded four top 10 finishes and led her first laps in ARCA/CRA competition at Flat Rock.

Throughout the 2014 racing season, her black #28 Ali Kern Motorsports / Scott Neal Racing / Ford Fusion carried sponsorship decals and support from Crown Battery as well as Port City Racecars, Eibach Springs, Prince Building Systems, Hybrid Haven, VanDoorn Racing Development and M.P.H. Promotions.
