Fourth Place Finish On Labor Day Has Matt Hall Optimistic About Winchester 400 Opportunity
Newport, Michigan driver heading back to the high-banks for biggest race of his career (Special from Matt Hall Motorsports)

Newport, Michigan (October 3, 2014) – All Matt Hall has ever asked for is a chance
to compete with good equipment in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS.
It's not to say he hasn't had good stuff in limited appearances since the 2011
season, but it wasn't up to par with what the Newport, Michigan driver had expected
of himself and his Matt Hall Motorsports Team. His 13th career start, on Labor Day
Monday, September 1st at Winchester Speedway (IN) proved to everyone that he
truly did belong running with the elite drivers in the country.

An impressive fourth place finish in the Winchester 100 which headlined the Labor
Day Holiday Weekend World Stock Car Festival at the famed 1/2 (0.500) mile high-
banked paved oval has the 21-year-old looking ahead to the biggest race of his
young career. A return trip to the legendary high-banks is next, only this time it's for
one of the most prestigious races in the country; the 43rd Running of the Winchester
400.

"2014 started off as another year of struggling but it has started to head in the right
direction. The team has stood behind me these last couple years when many people
didn't think I had what it took." Stated Hall as he and his team prepare for the 400
weekend on October 10-12th. "Our team has worked extremely hard on getting this
new car put together and the hard work is starting to pay off. Granted we have had
some issues in the last couple races, but they have been giving me great racecars to drive." He added.

"Our goal for Labor Day was to have a clean solid run and have something at the end. Unfortunately we had nothing left at the end as some problems arose, but a career high fourth place finish in the ARCA/CRA Super Series is something to be proud of," Continued the Great Lakes State driver. "We are coming into our first 400 with the same mind set, stay out of trouble, save our car and hope to have something at the end. Have to thank my team for all the hard work and am going to do my best to repay them with a solid run in our first ever 400." He ended.

In 13 career ARCA/CRA Super Series starts, Hall now has one top five finish, the fourth at Winchester on Labor Day Monday. He also has two top 10 showings as his best run prior to Winchester was an eighth place effort at Anderson Speedway (IN) back in 2011. He has enjoyed success at Winchester as in 2010 he won the Winchester 50 for the Super Pro Late Model Series during that years Winchester 400. His win at Winchester that October ended up being the final race ever for the Super Pro Late Model Series.

"This team has worked extremely hard getting this new Port City car together and it showed Labor Day weekend. Now we are going back to our absolute favorite track to see if we can carry that momentum to a solid finish in our first Winchester 400." Added Crew Chief, Brian Moore. "We tested there this week and were extremely happy with how the car reacted. If we can keep pit road errors to a minimum and catch a little luck, I feel our small underfunded team will surprise a lot of people at the end of 400 laps." He added.

Car Owner and Father, Kenny Hall added; "It's been and up and down season this year. We didn't get to race as much as we planned on and spent a lot of time getting our car ready to compete. After building the new car we struggled a bit but seem to get it figured out at the World Stock Car Festival." The proud Father smiled. "Winchester had always been our favorite race track and we couldn't be more excited to knock off a race on the bucket list. We have always wanted to run the 400 and are very excited to be able to do it this year."
